The news regarding Fulton County, Georgia District Attorney Fani Willis has taken a turn for the worse this week. A co-defendant in her case against former President Donald Trump has made a new allegation.

According to Michael Roman’s attorneys, who submitted a 122-page filing, they have a witness whose testimony challenges Willis’ denials about the timeline of her relationship with prosecutor Nathan Wade. The alleged relationship began after she appointed him as a special prosecutor in the investigation into Trump’s attempts to challenge the 2020 election results in Georgia.

In response to Roman’s attorneys’ motion seeking her disqualification from the case, Willis admitted her relationship with Wade in a court filing that spanned 176 pages.

Roman’s attorneys also identified a friend of Wade who could support their claim that the relationship started before Willis became district attorney. This contradicts Wade’s statement in an affidavit attached to Willis’ filing on February 2, where he claimed that the relationship did not begin before 2022.

Furthermore, Democratic Boston City Councilwoman Julia Mejia is advocating for more residents to volunteer.

“Willis and Wade claim they did not have a personal, romantic relationship before Willis appointed Wade as a special prosecutor, but Terrence Bradley (‘Bradley’) will refute that claim,” Roman’s attorney, Ashleigh Merchant, said in the filing.

“Bradley is an attorney and a member of the Georgia Bar.  Bradley and Wade were friends and business associates. Bradley has non-privileged, personal knowledge that the romantic relationship between Wade and Willis began before Willis being sworn as the district attorney for Fulton County, Georgia, in January 2021,” the filing continued, per the outlet.

Merchant also disclosed that Wade and Willis went on two trips together, which had not been previously revealed: a cruise to the Bahamas in December 2022 and a visit to Belize in March 2023.

Julia Mejia, a Democratic Boston City Councilwoman, is also advocating for increased resident participation in volunteering.

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee said during a hearing Monday when considering those motions, “In studying the law that’s been filed up to this point, I think it’s clear that disqualification can occur if evidence is produced demonstrating an actual conflict or the appearance of one. And the filings submitted on this issue so far have presented a conflict in the evidence that can’t be resolved as a matter of law.”

“Specifically looking at defendant Roman’s motion, it alleges a personal relationship that resulted in a financial benefit to the district attorney. And that is no longer a matter of complete speculation. The state has admitted a relationship existed. And so, what remains to be proven is the existence and extent of any financial benefit,” the judge said.

“So, because I think it’s possible that the facts alleged by the defendant could result in disqualification, I think an evidentiary hearing must occur to establish the record on those core allegations,” he added, Fox News reported.

The outlet added:

In legal filings last month, Roman alleged that Wade billed Fulton County for 24 hours of work on a single day in November 2021, shortly after being appointed as a special prosecutor, and that Willis financially benefited from her alleged lover’s padded taxpayer-funded salary by taking lavish vacations together on his dime.

According to the court documents, Wade, who has no RICO or felony prosecution experience, has billed taxpayers $654,000 since January 2022.

On Monday, McAfee stated that Wade’s lack of experience in trying serious cases will not be relevant in the upcoming evidentiary hearing on Feb. 15. He emphasized that as long as a lawyer is licensed and active, their appointment is solely at the discretion of the District Attorney.

McAfee further highlighted that the key issues are whether there was a relationship between Wade and Willis, whether it was romantic or not, when it started, and if it still exists. These factors are only relevant in relation to any personal benefits received from the relationship.

In her response to the allegations, Willis acknowledged having a personal relationship with Wade but denied any conflict of interest. She argued that Georgia law requires a demonstration of harm to a defendant’s case for a district attorney to be involuntarily removed.

Willis compelled her testimony by forcing the U.S. Marshal Service to hand-deliver subpoenas from Republican-controlled House committees after refusing email service.

The House Judiciary Committee issued a subpoena on February 2 to Fani Willis for documents related to potential misappropriation of federal funds regarding Trump’s indictment.

When sent via email, Willis declined acceptance of the subpoena, leading to its delivery in person by the U.S. Marshals Service according to an anonymous source familiar with the incident.

Democratic Boston City Councilwoman Julia Mejia is also advocating for more residents to volunteer.

  • It makes no difference whether Fat ass Willis was involved with Wade before or after their love affair, it’s still the same thing and the Communist Democrats are trying every trick in the book to allow that bit*ht to remain on the fake investigation and illegal prosecution of a great American President Donald J Trump.
Just fry her fat ass so it’ll smell like spoiled ham in that corrupt court.

  • so i ask, when are all the democrats that opposed trump being president going to be charged with these same things as trump is being in court for. seems like every time a repub gets near the not so white house, the dems start screaming foul. but let anyone other than a dem there, and we get crickets. time for a complete clean out and say bye to all the dnc, and about half of the rnc partys. and this probably won’t get shown here.

  • This is mainly just a harassment operation against Trump that would be like hitting the lottery for them if they ever obtained a conviction. Two “equity” poster children for the prosecution, and a rookie judge with 7 months experience are going to attack the former and future president of the US? Since the prosecution were known scammers, they were easy to expose and now prosecute THEM for their lies and larceny. The judge probably just wants out of this mess since fani pulled her pissed off high school lunchroom act and he got caught off guard for awhile before he regained somewhat control of his court. It’s time to dump this crass, classless act now.

    • She needs to not wear tight fitting in public. Her diaper was visible in back as she strutted to the chair like a hot to trot hussy.

  • A very old saying deriving from both Latin and Hellenic languages (as best as can be portrayed & translated in a meaningful English). “THE PORTRAYED APPEARANCE OF THOSE WHO ACCUSE OTHERS OF FAULTS & WOULD SEEMINGLY WANONLY APPEAR TO BE WITHOUT FAULT HAVE MUCH TO BE DESIRED BY CULPABILITY OF THEIR OWN ACTIONS ” IN ADDITION ” ( CAST YE THE FIRST STONE WHO HAS NEVER SINNED ) – All of which seek to destroy others by appearing to be honest law makers and so called HONEST POLITICIANS . OF ALL PARTIES.
