On Tuesday, independent journalist Breanna Morello revealed that the House Judiciary Committee has initiated an investigation into the Department of Justice’s selective prosecution of The Blaze journalist Steve Baker and other individuals involved in the events of January 6.
Chairman Jim Jordan sent a letter to U.S. Attorney Matthew Graves requesting internal documents and communications pertaining to Baker and the January 6 defendants.
Jordan criticized the DOJ for singling out Baker while overlooking other journalists present at the US Capitol on that day. These developments were reported by Morello via Emerald Robinson on X.

The Blaze on Tuesday posted Steve Baker’s reaction to this investigation.

Almost three years following the January 6, 2021 insurrection, journalist Steve Baker of Blaze revealed in December that he will face charges for his involvement in reporting live on that day’s events.
In October 2023, Steve disclosed that he had been under FBI investigation led by Chris Wray for the past two years due to his coverage of the significant protests in Washington DC.
The incident emphasizes that not even journalists are immune to the oppressive tactics of this regime, as Steve anticipated being charged by the Biden administration.

Steve Baker recounted his day’s experiences in a previous report. However, in February 2021, he started to investigate the potential involvement of others in the protests and riots that took place that day, a topic that appeared to be strictly forbidden.
The left-wing Sedition Hunters compiled a rather impressive spreadsheet of all types of journalists, with designations of “Interior (Breach),” “Interior (Press Corps),” and “Restricted Grounds” assigned to 160 different “confirmed” journalists, and an additional spreadsheet tab listing 45 “unconfirmed” reporters and videographers.
This was too much for the Biden regime who had him arrested by the FBI agents earlier this month.
