The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a cult classic horror film. The 1974 thriller is quite gory. But it’s just a movie, right? Or is it? One Arizona man gave new meaning to the chilling possibility of a real wacko killing with a chainsaw.
Recently, Thomas Wallace was arrested. He is being held on a $1 million cash bond. The 58-year-old is being held on suspicion of second-degree murder. What was Wallace’s alleged weapon of choice? It was a chainsaw, but of course.
According to Fox 10 Phoenix, Wallace is also charged with concealing a dead body, theft of means of transportation, and trafficking in stolen property. A second suspect, Ramona Gonzalez, is in jail on suspicion of fraud and theft.
However, Gonzalez is denying any involvement in the death. According to police reports, Wallace allegedly killed his roommate. He used a chainsaw. But did he dispose of said chainsaw, or at least try to clean it up after carving up his victim?
No, Mr. Wallace must have simply set the chainsaw aside. Well, that turned out to be a bad decision. Wellness check reports from neighbors raised suspicion at Wallace’s house. An 80-year-old man hadn’t been seen in weeks, so neighbors called the local authorities.
Police forced their way into the residence. What they found was startling. There was blood on the living room ceiling and all over the walls and furniture. Officers noted “a strong foul odor.” The investigation uncovered the victim’s body.
The man was stuffed inside two garbage bags. His head was lying on top of a pile of dirty laundry. The Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office has not released the exact cause of death. However, it’s clear this man was the victim of a “real life chainsaw massacre.”
According to neighbors, the victim was guilty of being nothing more than “a good person.” There are some dangerously crazy people in the world. Apparently, one Arizona man has watched too many horror movies.
Must be from Kalifornia.
