A tragic incident in California has left a family grieving and a community in shock. A young girl named Silvanna Moreno, just nine years old, passed away following a routine dental procedure. The procedure took place at Dreamtime Dentistry in Vista, California, a place where she was expected to leave with a brighter smile, not her family with broken hearts.
Silvanna, affectionately remembered as the sunshine in every room, underwent oral surgery under general anesthesia. Her family and friends describe her as a kind and caring spirit, always ready with a big smile and hug. This heartbreaking event has left a void in the hearts of those who knew her.
Dreamtime Dentistry has stated that Silvanna was referred to them for treatment due to her young age and anxiety. Dr. Ryan Watkins, who oversaw the procedure, assured that it was conducted with the utmost care. The dentist anesthesiologist on duty has over 20 years of experience and consistently monitored Silvanna throughout the surgery.
Post-procedure, Silvanna was discharged from the dentist’s office in stable condition. Her vital signs were checked, and she was released into her mother’s care. The expectation was for a smooth recovery at home, but the day took a tragic turn.
While heading home, Silvanna fell asleep and was later moved to her bed. Her family kept a watchful eye on her, checking in periodically. However, they later found her unresponsive, a moment no parent should ever have to endure.
Emergency services were called, and Silvanna was rushed to Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego. Despite efforts to revive her, she was pronounced dead that evening. The cause of her death remains under investigation by the San Diego Police Department.
Dreamtime Dentistry has expressed their deep sorrow and is cooperating fully with the ongoing investigation. They emphasized their commitment to patient safety and their willingness to assist the authorities. Privacy laws restrict them from discussing specific details, but they urge patience as the investigation unfolds.
The family and community are left grappling with unanswered questions as they await the medical examiner’s findings. The dental practice, known for its care and professionalism, stands by its procedures and staff. They hope for a thorough investigation to shed light on the unforeseen tragedy.
As the authorities continue their work, the focus remains on understanding what went wrong. The incident has sparked concern among parents and caregivers. Ensuring the safety of children during medical procedures is of paramount importance.
The loss of such a young life is a reminder of the fragility of life. Silvanna’s memory lives on in the hearts of her loved ones. Her story is a call to action for heightened vigilance in medical practices.
The community rallies around the Moreno family, offering support and condolences. In times of such sorrow, the strength of community ties is a beacon of hope. Silvanna’s legacy is one of love, kindness, and a life that touched many.
This incident underscores the importance of rigorous safety standards in healthcare. The investigation will hopefully provide answers and prevent future tragedies. The collaboration between Dreamtime Dentistry and law enforcement is crucial in this endeavor.
As the investigation progresses, the focus remains on uncovering the truth. Families affected by such tragedies deserve transparency and accountability. The hope is for a resolution that honors Silvanna’s memory.

I know how people are. I smell a lawsuit and jail time coming for someone. Even though the Dr. and the anesthesiologist followed proper procedure and checked everything twice, it doesn’t matter when someone wants to bleed someone else for money.
This is why I never wanted anything to do with the Healthcare industry, or any other industry where another person’s life could be affected.
Everyone nowadays is sue-crazy. I avoid people like the plague.
Check the gas used in the office. It may have had toxic residue.
Quinn and Charlie Seattle points well taken!
Yes far too many money hungry greedy backstabbing people nowadays! Healthcare Industry is a moneymaking “Sickness Industry” and corrupted to hell these days! The “old fashioned day’s country doctor” who is always following the “Hippocratic Oath” and wants to only help people are few and extremely hard to find these days. During the Plan-demic that kind of doctor wasn’t just following the Big Government and Big Pharma pushed protocols or mandates and they were censured or had their licenses revoked! I know personally a couple of them who were put out of business, and one had been a fine doctor actually saving his patients without any hospitalization during the Covid Bio-weapon Jabs, who did a great service for the community for over 40 years and he is retired now, having been forced out! A very SICK world now, and extremely dangerous to one’s health; and I say it will never be right or proper again!
