The Trump administration has taken a bold step in accusing New York Attorney General Letitia James of mortgage fraud. This accusation was sent to the Department of Justice, as revealed in documents shared on Fox News Channel’s “The Ingraham Angle.” The Federal Housing Finance Agency’s Director, William Pulte, penned a letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi, outlining claims that James manipulated records to secure better loan terms.
The crux of the allegations involves two properties, one situated in Virginia and the other in New York. It’s claimed that James falsely identified the Virginia property as her primary residence. Meanwhile, she reportedly misrepresented the New York property as having fewer units than it actually does.
Pulte suggests that these inaccuracies might have enabled James to secure more favorable loan conditions. The allegations are particularly striking given James’ previous legal pursuits against former President Donald Trump. Jonathan Turley, a Fox News contributor and law professor, pointed out the irony, noting James once prosecuted Trump for similar financial misstatements.
Turley stated, “This is a person who prosecuted Trump for everything short of ripping a label off a mattress.” He further elaborated on how James’ claim to the Virginia property contradicts her obligations as a New York public official. These obligations mandate that she maintains her principal residence in New York.
Laura Ingraham recently divulged details about the criminal referral against James, highlighting questionable loan filings. These include assertions about an out-of-state residence being her principal home and other contested statements. Additionally, James allegedly misrepresented her father as her husband on mortgage documents.
The Supreme Court recently emphasized the seriousness of knowingly making false statements in legal filings. Turley remarked, “These are misleading statements. Either it’s your principal residence or it’s not. Either you’re married to your father or he’s your father.”
The New York Post uncovered documents from properties James purchased with her father, listing them as “husband and wife.” Pulte expressed concerns over these representations, questioning their legitimacy on mortgage applications. Retired NYPD inspector Paul Mauro, a Fox News contributor, was among the first to report these issues.
Mauro commented on the authenticity of the documents shared by Sam Antar. He said, “In which case, AG James appears to have engaged in the very sort of fraud which she alleged in her ludicrous case against Donald Trump.” James has been a prominent figure in legal battles against Trump, filing a significant civil fraud lawsuit in 2022.
In that case, Trump faced a $454 million civil fraud judgment, which is currently under appeal. In the same vein, James has spearheaded multiple legal actions against the Trump administration. These include lawsuits to prevent the Department of Government Efficiency from accessing Treasury Department systems.
The allegations against James have not gone unnoticed, with Turley describing the documents as “quite damning.” As the Department of Justice evaluates the FHFA’s criminal referral, there’s an air of uncertainty surrounding James’ future. This case could potentially impact her role as New York’s chief law enforcement officer.
Fox News reported that the Federal Housing Finance Agency has officially sent the criminal referral to Attorney General Pam Bondi. The situation has sparked discussions in the political arena, with many observing how the tables have turned. The unfolding events are sure to capture public attention, given James’ legal history.
The unfolding drama highlights the importance of accountability in public office. It also underscores the principle that no one, regardless of their position, is above the law. The proceedings will likely continue to be a topic of heated debate in the coming days.
She is involved in fraud, she’s a Communist Democrat trying to take down President Trump on fake charges.

@Michael Smith: I hope she and her cohorts go to prison.
Quinn, I do too.
James belongs in prison for a very long time plus be fined same as Trump was $ 454 Million dollars. Now will see if a Black democrat federal prosecutor gets the same amount of judgement against her. She deserves twice as much because will she was going after Trump she also was doing the exact same thing she was going after Trump for. This black DEI person should have the book thrown at her for what she did. They should arrest her and book her and have mugshots of her in every newspaper and have bail at how many Millions did Trump have to put up. But she’s black and a democrat so let’s just sweep this under the carpet. Her license should be revoked immediately and fired immediately she can’t prosecute anyone when the prosecutor is a liar and criminal. Couldn’t happen to a better person. Eat crow
Sue, I totally agree with you.
I would think this peels away enough of the onion to reveal the Partisan Motivations in all of her legal actions against President Trump and this elevates her actions to outright Conspiratorial Sedition and Treason! GITMO for L. James! Or at least the D. C. Gulag that all of the J6 innocent election rally attendees had to endure by the also corrupted Partisan Treasonous actions of the Conspirators (Pelosi and company) of that Entrapment and the subsequent Select Committee Lies and Cover-up!
