Salem Media is reshaping the midday conservative radio lineup by pairing Alex Marlow and Scott Jennings to take over the 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. ET slot formerly held by The Charlie Kirk Show, continuing a tradition of punchy conservative talk radio and aiming to keep those crucial hours lively and opinion-driven.
Salem Media’s move pairs two recognizable conservative voices to steward one of talk radio’s most influential time slots. Alex Marlow will lead the first hour as a strong, populist lead-in, and Scott Jennings will handle the remaining two hours with the kind of direct commentary his audience expects. This lineup signals Salem’s intent to keep those midday hours sharp, opinionated, and unapologetically conservative.
Scott Jennings joined the Salem Radio Network earlier this year with a daily one-hour program and quickly built an audience with pointed, no-nonsense takedowns of the left. He acknowledged the late host whose show he now inherits and praised the team that kept the show going. Jennings said, “First, to my friend Andrew Kolvet and the Turning Point USA team, thank you for your stewardship of Charlie’s radio legacy over these last several months. It has been nothing short of brilliant.”
In his statement Jennings also emphasized the significance of the slot and the responsibility that comes with it. He added, “These are some of the most important hours in talk radio, shaped by voices who didn’t just fill time, but moved the national conversation. I’m grateful to Salem for the trust they’ve placed in me to step into that legacy. Expanding the show gives us the space and time to deliver serious analysis, honest debate, and thoughtful conversations for the audience. Looking forward to more great guests and more common sense for the American people!”
Alex Marlow, who hosts The Alex Marlow Show Presented by Breitbart News, brings an aggressive, internet-honed style and a loyal audience that follows him from podcasts and digital platforms. He highlighted his radio roots and the influencers who shaped his approach to conservative media. Marlow said, “Even before I became the first employee of Breitbart News and a mentee of web pioneer Andrew Breitbart, I was a talk radio junkie. It has been a constant part of my media diet since I was a teenager and has informed my news judgement as I lead Breitbart’s virtual newsroom.”
Marlow also named figures who influenced his on-air craft and noted the pleasure of guesting on Charlie Kirk’s show. He said, “Many of the hosts that have captured my attention and imagination over the decades are or were on the Salem dial. Larry Elder was my first talk radio love, years went by where I didn’t miss a single moment of the Dennis Prager Show, and it was a rare pleasure to be a weekly guest on my friend Charlie Kirk’s show during the last year of his life. I have deep respect for the Salem audience as well as my on-air colleagues both as people and as broadcasters. I can’t wait to get started.”
The new duo will occupy a beloved slot once defined by Rush Limbaugh, and Salem’s leadership framed the change as a continuation of a conservative broadcast legacy. Phil Boyce, Senior Vice President of Content for Salem Media, stressed that the company understands the trust conservative listeners place in that midday window. He emphasized the duo’s ability to engage audiences and to continue carrying Salem’s approach to talk radio forward.
The Charlie Kirk Show will continue as part of the Salem Podcast Network, with its live show and podcast moving into other venues. Andrew Kolvet, the show’s executive producer, said the team is excited about continuing the program in new formats and voiced support for Alex Marlow and Scott Jennings taking over the radio portion. That keeps the Charlie Kirk brand active while shifting the linear radio hours to two established conservative voices.
The Marlow-Jennings shift is scheduled to begin on Monday, January 5, 2026, marking a clear handoff and a new chapter for conservative midday radio. For listeners who value unapologetic conservative commentary, this lineup promises to maintain the bold tone and cultural engagement those hours demand.
