The PayPal platform is facing allegations of processing payments for the far-left group Alliance for Global Justice (AFGJ), which has received criticism from Congress and watchdog organizations due to its ties to the terrorist organization Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.

Senators Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Marco Rubio (R-FL) have pledged to initiate investigations into PayPal, due to their policy which forbids the utilization of their services for any form of hate speech, violence, racism, discrimination or financial exploitation of a crime.

Cruz stated to the Washington Examiner:

“PayPal should, clearly and immediately, sever ties with any group linked to Palestinian terrorism. Big tech companies are not exempt from American laws or the risk of tarnishing their reputation by aiding terrorism.”

Senator Rubio expressed serious concerns regarding PayPal’s behavior.

“No individual or U.S. company should be funding Palestinian terrorist organizations that seek to harm innocent Israelis. I will call on the Department of the Treasury to scrutinize this arrangement.”

The Alliance for Global Justice has decided to switch to PayPal for fundraising, after Stripe, the Irish American payment processor that processed $817 billion in transactions in 2022, ceased to be listed on the charity’s website.

This follows a demand from 11 pro-Israel groups that Stripe discontinue its association with AFGJ, which was prompted by a series of articles from the Washington Examiner highlighting how it fundraised for Collectif Palestine Vaincra – a French member of the Samidoun terrorist coalition designated by Israel.

On the Alliance for Global Justice website, a number of publications can be found that praise leftist authoritarian regimes, such as those in Venezuela and Bolivia.

These publications call for an end to US sanctions against Nicaragua, led by Marxist dictator Daniel Ortega, known for his persecution and arrest of Catholic priests and members of the Catholic Church.

According to the Washington Examiner, neither PayPal nor the Alliance for Global Justice have taken any stance or issued a response regarding these accusations.

  • I stopped using Paypal some time ago because I did not like their policies. This is just another reason to continue…boycott, anyone?

  • I haven’t used PayPal since 1999, and Facebook’s Mark Suckerburge once said if the Republicans change America around “He will side with Muslims ” that’s when I shut my Facebook account down, and I never returned to that Communist site.
