Local reports have indicated that Alexander Talcott, a 41-year-old Republican activist and attorney from New Hampshire, has been found dead in his Durham home on Saturday with a stab wound to the neck.

Following an examination from the medical examiner’s office, authorities have ruled the death as a homicide.

William O’Brien, the State Director of the New Hampshire Chapter of the Republican National Lawyers Association, issued a statement to WBTS in which he spoke highly of Talcott.

WMUR-TV reported that Talcott assumed the role of leader of the RNLA in 2021.

Last week, Talcott also shared his thoughts on the GOP primary debate via a post on the X platform.

Others memorialized Talcott on the platform as well.

No arrests have been made in the case, reports added.

The New Hampshire Department of Justice indicated on Monday that they had identified additional parties involved in the killing of Talcott.

This has raised the possibility that the individual who stabbed Talcott in the neck could have been acting in self-defense.

“Parties involved in the incident have been identified and based on the information known to investigators there is no danger to the public,” the state DOJ said in a statement.

Talcott is survived by his wife and three children.

Meanwhile, David Scanlan, New Hampshire’s Republican Secretary of State, appears to be exploring if it is possible to keep former President Donald Trump off the 2024 presidential ballot under a provision of the 14th Amendment, despite the fact that he has yet to be convicted of any crimes.

He is consulting with John Formella, the state’s Republican Attorney General, on this matter.

  • Somehow every story turns out to have President Trump attatched. The poor soul who died did not even get the story to himself.
    Wow.

  • How dare they imply that the man was stabbed by someone trying to defend himself!! What was this person doing in the home of Alex Talcott? He could have left and not killed him!!! This story sucks, and of course this republican was killed by someone trying to silence him!!! I resent the author trying to imply that Alex Talcott was the aggressor!!! He was killed in his own home, and it’s unlikely that this person who killed him was a stranger.
