Tampa’s Yuengling Center will host TNA Wrestling’s Bound for Glory pay-per-view on Sunday, headlined by a world title match that could make Leon Slater the youngest champion in the promotion’s history.

Slater, 22, faces reigning TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth in the main event. If he wins, he becomes the youngest TNA world champion ever. The British wrestler joined TNA in 2023 and has been one of the company’s fastest-rising stars since.

Slater won the X Division Championship in May 2025 and narrowly missed setting the record for the longest X Division title reign before losing it to Cedric Alexander in May. He reclaimed the belt as a two-time X Division champion at Slammiversary, beating Alexander in a Last Man Standing Match inside a steel cage, but held it for only a few hours.

That same night, Slater announced he was cashing in “Option C,” a clause that let him trade his X Division Championship for a shot at Nemeth’s world title. That decision set up Sunday’s main event in Tampa.

Nemeth is in his second reign as TNA World Champion, having beaten Mike Santana for the title at Slammiversary after winning the Call Your Shot Gauntlet. A new edition of that gauntlet match is also on Sunday’s card and will award another wrestler a future title shot.

On Thursday night’s episode of “Impact,” Slater confronted Nemeth directly, with TNA’s Director of Authority Santino Marella ruling that the two could not make physical contact before the match.

“Nic, let’s get one thing clear – that rule isn’t saving me. That rule is saving you,” Slater said. “Because in a couple of days at Bound for Glory, when I finally get to beat your a— and take that title, you are going to realize exactly why they call me ‘The Youngest In Charge.'”

A win would put Slater alongside past TNA champions including Kurt Angle, Christian Cage, Sting, Jeff Jarrett, Moose and Jeff Hardy.

Bound for Glory, held in Hillsborough County, is TNA’s marquee annual event. It begins at 4:30 p.m. ET and will stream on TNA+.
