The Auberge du Soleil, a five-star luxury resort nestled in Napa Valley’s hillside, boasts panoramic vineyard views and $2,000-a-night rooms frequented by A-list celebrities and tech moguls. Yet financial records reveal a different kind of windfall for its investors, including Rep. Nancy Pelosi and her husband, Paul Pelosi. Despite rarely turning a significant profit, the resort’s fortunes shifted dramatically when it received millions in taxpayer-funded COVID relief during the pandemic.

The Auberge du Soleil, an investment held for decades by Paul Pelosi, saw unprecedented returns in 2021, with Nancy Pelosi’s financial disclosures showing family income from the resort surging to between $1 million and $5 million. This marked a sharp departure from previous years, during which the investment yielded profits ranging from $50,000 to $100,000—or even losses.

While the resort briefly closed in early 2020 due to the pandemic, it quickly rebounded. Nevertheless, it benefited significantly from federal bailout programs. Records indicate the Auberge du Soleil received about $9 million in taxpayer funds from COVID-19 relief initiatives.

This previously unreported influx of public funds is part of a broader pattern. An analysis by RealClearInvestigations revealed that Pelosi-backed businesses, including restaurants and hotels, collectively benefited from $28 million in federal COVID relief. These funds flowed through programs like the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), the COVID-19 Economic Injury Disaster Loan, and the Restaurant Revitalization Fund.

The Pelosis’ investment in the Auberge du Soleil, for example, was awarded $5 million in Restaurant Revitalization Fund grants in June 2021, alongside $2.9 million in PPP loans in 2020 and an additional $2 million in 2021.

As Speaker of the House during the pandemic, Nancy Pelosi played a pivotal role in shepherding federal COVID stimulus measures. These programs allocated a staggering $5.5 trillion in emergency funding, one of the largest government spending efforts in U.S. history.

At a December 2020 press conference, Pelosi criticized Republican lawmakers for delays in passing additional pandemic aid, stating, “These Republicans seem to have an endless tolerance for other people’s sadness.” She positioned the relief programs as essential lifelines for struggling families and businesses.

However, the Auberge du Soleil—known for catering to the elite rather than the economically vulnerable—received millions from these programs, raising questions about whether the funds were appropriately allocated.

The Pelosis’ financial disclosures underscore how significantly their family benefited from pandemic-era relief. In 2021, the Auberge du Soleil delivered more income to the Pelosi household than in any of the previous ten years.

Similarly, the family’s stake in the Piatti Restaurant Company, a California-based chain of Italian eateries, brought in partnership distributions of up to $1 million in 2021. This income spike coincided with Piatti receiving approximately $15 million in PPP loans and Restaurant Revitalization Fund grants. Prior to the pandemic, Pelosi’s annual earnings from the restaurant chain rarely exceeded $50,000.

While federal guidelines barred lawmakers or their spouses from receiving PPP loans for businesses in which they held a “controlling interest” of 20% or more, the Pelosi family’s investments seemingly fell below this threshold. Nevertheless, their financial gains have drawn scrutiny.

Nancy Pelosi is not the only lawmaker whose business interests profited from pandemic relief programs. Rep. Greg Pence, the brother of former Vice President Mike Pence, received $79,441 for his antique mall. Rep. Dean Phillips, a Democratic presidential candidate, saw his event production company Geniecast receive $373,185 through two forgivable loans.

Still, the scale of the Pelosis’ financial benefit stands apart. Despite public outcry, detailed scrutiny of her family’s enrichment from COVID relief funds has been limited.

This revelation adds to a growing list of controversies surrounding the Pelosis’ finances. Paul Pelosi, 84, has long faced allegations of profiting from well-timed stock trades, particularly in technology companies. According to Unusual Whales, a site tracking congressional trading activity, the Pelosi household earned a 65% return on trades last year—outpacing many of the world’s most successful hedge funds.

Over her decades in office, Nancy Pelosi’s net worth has surged from $18 million in 1991 to an estimated $250 million as of 2023.

The bailout funds that benefited Pelosi-backed entities may have come at the expense of truly struggling businesses. The Restaurant Revitalization Fund, for example, approved only a third of applicants before running out of money. Many small, family-owned restaurants and diners were left without aid, while establishments like the Auberge du Soleil and Piatti secured millions.

Critics argue that the rushed design of these programs led to widespread abuse. Estimates suggest that more than $280 billion in pandemic relief was stolen by fraudsters, with additional funds wasted on luxury purchases like Lamborghinis, jewelry, and even alpaca farms.

A Senate report highlighted the scale of the problem, calling the fraud and waste associated with COVID relief funds a historic failure of oversight.

While there is no evidence that the Pelosis violated any laws, ethics experts argue that their financial gains from relief programs they helped implement represent a significant conflict of interest. Craig Eyermann, a fellow at the Independent Institute, noted, “To even pursue it, they put themselves ahead of those who truly needed it.”

The Pelosis’ enrichment underscores broader issues of accountability in pandemic spending. As lawmakers and their families profited, many Americans faced financial ruin during one of the most challenging periods in recent history.

The pandemic relief programs, initially cast as a lifeline for the economy, have become a symbol of government waste and inequity. Critics argue that the programs disproportionately benefited wealthy businesses and individuals while failing to adequately support the most vulnerable.

For Nancy Pelosi, these revelations add to her controversial legacy. As she retired from her role as Speaker in 2023, questions about her family’s financial dealings remain unresolved, overshadowing her decades of public service.

The broader implications are equally troubling. The fallout from poorly designed pandemic relief programs highlights the need for stronger oversight and accountability in future crises. As investigations into the misuse of COVID relief funds continue, the public may demand answers not only from Pelosi but also from other lawmakers whose actions—or inactions—shaped the course of the pandemic response.

In the end, the story of the Pelosis and the pandemic bailouts raises a pressing question: when crisis strikes, who truly gets saved?

  • These scums of the earth, bottom of the barrel and demonically controlled hypocrites are part and parcel the epitome of what the Demoncrap party has evolved into over the last several decades! Nazis and Marxist, so called “Progressives” that are “all about themselves and the ruin of everyone else around them!” As they rake in the millions they flip the bird to each and everyone one of us, The Citizens, and hope we all die sooner rather than later! Look at that “Piece of Shit Bernie Sanders” that “never worked an honest day in his entire life” who ranted about how “Capitalistic America rips off the people;” yet he has “raked in millions doing nothing for society” or the average person (he is nothing but a parasite) and keeps all of it for himself just like all the other “corrupted evil bitches and bastards are doing,” when all he deserves is a “straitjacket and a padded cell” that freaking maniac, just like the Pelosi’s do!

“The worst hypocritical gluttons” to have ever lived on planet earth are these!

Luke 12:4-5 “4 “Dear friends, don’t be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot do any more to you after that. 5 But I’ll tell you whom to fear. Fear God, who has the power to kill you and then throw you into hell.[a] Yes, he’s the one to fear.”

  • Another example of how politicians fleece the American taxpayer!!! While hard working Americans lost their businesses these scum prospered!!!! DOGE can’t get here fast enough to stop these corrupt policies endorsed by these corrupt scumbags!!!! I’ve been alive long enough to see how we prospered under Reagan and under Trump, these two men were NOT career politicians!!!!! See a pattern. It’s time to remove the career thieves and replace with actual people who care about Americans success and the success of the American people!!!

    • These two assholes laugh with their hundreds of millions stolen loot and when they are in Hell for eternity they will scream in agony endlessly!

  • Exactly right! Ron you point out the factual Truth! Pelosi’s family has ripped off others going way back and her daddy was a Mafia Crony Kingpin and they referred to her back in the youth days as the princess! Entitlement on steroids and as evil as they come!

  • Evil Bitch.!

And did anyone wonder why they might have got a check in the mail for a mere $40.00.?

A shit check that couldn’t buy anyone a 3 meal dinner.

Just thank that Bitch Nancy Piglosi, I don’t give a shit how old she is, she should be taken by force and hung or burned at the steak.! The same as Paul Piglosi and daughter.!

To them We The People are no more than Piss ants.

    • Michael we are even less than that to them and they are pure diabolical evil! A GITMO necktie for them all is what would be real justice!

      • That too brother.

I’ve absolutely had with Communist Democrats, they have no heart and soul as if it’s not enough for them to have millions already from stolen taxpayers money and insider trading but to steal money from the people who might have gotten bigger checks for The Fake Covid..The relief funds would’ve helped to feed their children and pay their bills,
But No, The Piglosi family and other Communist Democrats went even further to disregard the lives of babies and the elderly. The bigger checks could have made their lives a little easier for awhile, so the greed continues on to disregard the American Citizens who looses even more with the Illegals getting more and more taxpayers money.

Just charge them all including the Rinos and hang or shoot them in front of a Fireing Squad.

  • Government corruption got to stop people go in the government jobs and have no money and in a couple of years have millions of dollars this is totally bullish-t. And now congress is asking for a raise what are you kidding us. Look what you gave to people on Social Security as a cost of living increase you couldn’t by a dinner at McDonalds with that pathetic increase that’s a total disgrace to the people who paid into the system. Congress wants a pay raise give them the same amount of percentage you gave people on Social Security. We can’t afford to live on that pathetic insulting increase. We can’t afford food rent gas insurances electric bills what health insurance all taxes and Registration Driver license renewal we cannot live on peanuts anymore. You give millions or trillions of taxpayers dollars to Ukraine and Americans or suffering and can’t survive any more.
Homes torn apart by Hurricanes and don’t have insurance because can’t afford it and FEMA gives as nothing to repair our homes. You screwed every person on Social Security with that pathetic disgraceful increase to S/S people. We’re the ones who paid into S/S for over 50 years and you give us peanuts to live on.
Our government is so corrupt and incompetent to let senior citizens die to death because the won’t take care of their own American citizens. The government needs to be shut down we the people pay your salaries and they should be cut in half and see how you survive. Pigs get fat and hogs get slaughtered.
We the taxpayers pay for everything take care of people on Social Security we are starving to death and the government doesn’t care about us anymore.

    • Sue; to your point, that lying Marxist progressive bimbo idiot AOC was only capable of making a living as a bartender before Soros got her installed as a Congress women puppet for the Bronx hellhole! Now she is a Millionaire with a couple of mansions; I ask what the hell is she or has she actually done as a public servant to even deserve a drop in the bucket out of what she has now? Not a damned thing!

  • Yes all said is truth Michael and Sue!

Like you say it’s not enough they sit on mountains of cash or ill-gotten gains they even have to gloat and flaunt it while being so damned to hell prideful of who and what they are!

Proverbs 8:13 says, “To fear the Lord is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech.”

Proverbs 16:18, “Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.”

Be humble and willing to learn from God and others!

Pride is a sin that separates us from God.

James 4:6 reminds us, “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”

Isaiah 13:11 Amplified Bible “In this way I will punish the world for its evil And the wicked for their wickedness [their sin, their injustice, their wrongdoing]; I will also put an end to the arrogance of the proud And will abase the arrogance of the tyrant.”

Let’s pray God comes soon to punish all of these horrible wicked people in power and save the meek and humble servants or real children of God!

    • Hell yea! Ask how Mr. P made all that dough on the land and building of the BART System with the help of his Witch!
