As early voting kicks off in Arizona, a critical battleground state, the initial turnout has revealed a significant trend: no visible support for Kamala Harris among voters in Mojave County. MSNBC field reporters covering the area shared that, during interviews with early voters, not one person voiced support for Harris in the upcoming election.

Arizona, a state that could play a pivotal role in the 2024 presidential election, began its early voting period, giving citizens the chance to cast their ballots by mail or at polling stations weeks before Election Day. The enthusiasm at these locations was apparent, but the excitement seems to be skewed heavily in favor of former President Donald Trump and Republican candidates.

Former President Trump, who once criticized mail-in voting, has taken a new stance this year. Encouraging his base to embrace every voting method available, Trump has been rallying his supporters to vote early, including through absentee ballots. His strategy seems to be paying off in Arizona, as polling stations see a steady flow of voters—many of whom appear motivated by his direct appeals.

On his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump urged Arizona voters to take advantage of early voting. “THANK YOU, ARIZONA!” Trump wrote. “Early voting by mail and in-person opened in Arizona earlier this week—so if you have a ballot, return it immediately, and if not, GO VOTE the minute the polls open tomorrow. Get everyone you know to cast their ballots for Trump and Republicans at every level!”

In this message, Trump also referenced his determination to defeat Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic candidate for president. His confident rhetoric highlighted his focus on Arizona, stating, “With your help, 23 days from now, we are going to WIN Arizona, we are going to defeat Kamala Harris, and we are going to usher in a new Golden Age of American Success for citizens of every race, religion, color, and creed!”

Polling data reflects Trump’s strong position in Arizona, with some numbers giving him a narrow edge over Harris. AZ Central reported that early voting turnout in the state is on the rise, partly due to Trump’s renewed push for early and mail-in voting, a method that he previously criticized during the 2020 election.

MSNBC’s team on the ground in Mojave County provided insight into the local atmosphere. In an on-air segment, a reporter shared the reaction from voters. “We did not find a single person who audibly would tell us that they voted for Kamala. These were Trump supporters getting out to vote early in the all-important Mojave County,” the reporter explained. The scene at the polling stations seemed to echo that sentiment, with voters aligning themselves strongly with Trump and the Republican platform.

For many voters in the area, their participation in early voting was directly influenced by Trump’s call to action. One voter interviewed by MSNBC admitted candidly, “Honestly, because Donald Trump told me to,” when asked why they chose to vote early. The power of Trump’s influence over his supporters, even in regard to early voting—a practice he once derided—was evident.

Another voter, who had skipped the 2020 election, decided to cast their ballot early this time, citing concern about the direction of the country. “I didn’t vote last time, but now, with the way things are going, I knew I had to,” they said. Like many other voters in Mojave County, this individual felt compelled to make their voice heard due to fears over the nation’s current political and economic trajectory.

Mojave County, located in the northwestern part of the state, is traditionally a Republican stronghold, and this early voting period only reinforces the county’s conservative leanings. With a population that is deeply loyal to Trump and his policies, the lack of vocal support for Kamala Harris comes as little surprise. However, the degree to which voters have rejected Harris in favor of Trump has raised eyebrows.

Arizona’s early voting trends could offer a glimpse into the broader dynamics at play for the 2024 election. While Harris still maintains strong support in more liberal parts of the state, such as Phoenix and Tucson, the heavy turnout of Trump supporters in rural areas like Mojave County will be critical in shaping the final results.

As the days pass, both parties are watching Arizona closely, knowing the state’s crucial role in determining the outcome of the election. Democrats are counting on strong turnout in urban centers to counterbalance the overwhelming Republican enthusiasm in rural regions. On the other hand, Republicans hope that Trump’s new strategy of encouraging early voting will ensure a solid base of votes before Election Day.

The early voting period in Arizona has just begun, but the visible momentum among Trump supporters suggests that the race will be fiercely contested right up to the final ballots. With Trump’s base energized and determined to win Arizona, Kamala Harris and the Democrats face an uphill battle in securing the state’s critical electoral votes.

  • We’ve seen how the Communist Democrats cheated Katie out of Governor so will they continue on through the night throwing out votes for President Trump.?
You should know their scheming something since it’s a crucial State.
    Watch them close Arizona.

  • “….not one person voiced support for Harris in the upcoming election.” Cue the laugh track. Someone must not have seen the recent Kamal TV add. It was showing women voting, with the voiceover saying “what happens in the voting booth, stays in the voting booth.” I. E., “don’t tell” your significant ‘male(?)’ friend/husband who you voted for, especially if he/she is advising you to vote Trump! Just what you want in some ‘long term’ relationship, LYING, I think not.
