In a dramatic last-minute move, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis tried to stop her former lover, Nathan Wade, from testifying before the U.S. House Judiciary Committee. However, her efforts were unsuccessful, and Wade, a former state prosecutor and key figure in her office, delivered hours of testimony this past Wednesday. His testimony is part of a larger investigation into whether Willis misused federal funds intended for anti-gang initiatives to instead focus on her high-profile case against former President Donald Trump.
Willis, who has spearheaded efforts to prosecute Trump for his alleged attempts to overturn the 2020 election results in Georgia, sent a formal letter to House Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan (R-OH) in an attempt to halt Wade’s testimony. In her letter, Willis argued that Wade’s testimony could lead to the disclosure of confidential information related to ongoing investigations and the Trump case.
Willis wrote that allowing Wade to testify “would force him to divulge confidential information” and “violate State Bar of Georgia rules that govern conduct of attorneys.” She further warned that Wade could face serious consequences, including disbarment, if he shared privileged information. Despite this warning, Wade’s attorney confirmed that his client gave “effective” testimony, shedding light on Willis’s office operations, including the potential misuse of federal funds.
A central point of the investigation focuses on whether Willis misappropriated federal grant money intended for anti-gang efforts, diverting those resources instead to prosecute Trump and his associates. Jim Jordan has indicated that whistleblowers from Willis’s office have come forward with claims that the district attorney was warned about the illegality of redirecting federal funds but proceeded regardless.
Willis’s case against Trump has already drawn significant controversy. Trump has consistently labeled the case a politically motivated “witch hunt,” accusing Willis of using her office to advance partisan goals. The House Judiciary Committee’s inquiry into her financial practices only adds fuel to that fire, with Republicans pushing to uncover potential mismanagement of funds.
Wade’s testimony could prove critical in determining whether Willis knowingly misused federal grants. The investigation into her office’s financial practices has garnered national attention, especially with Trump’s looming legal battles related to the 2020 election. While Willis argues that Wade’s knowledge of her office’s inner workings remains protected by attorney-client privilege and confidentiality rules, the House Committee is determined to press forward with its inquiry.
In her letter to Jordan, Willis explicitly stated that Wade’s knowledge stems from his role as Special Counsel in the office’s investigation into Trump’s alleged election interference. She claimed that Wade’s testimony could expose “highly sensitive and confidential information” about the ongoing criminal investigation.
“As the former Special Counsel in the FCDA’s election interference investigation, Mr. Wade has knowledge of highly sensitive and confidential information regarding this ongoing criminal matter,” Willis wrote. “This includes knowledge of key evidence, confidential attorney communications, legal theories and analyses, prosecutorial recommendations, and deliberations.”
Willis emphasized that disclosing this information could interfere with ongoing legal proceedings, adding that the material Wade obtained during his tenure belongs to the Fulton County District Attorney’s office. She argued that the House Committee’s request for Wade’s testimony was politically motivated and would jeopardize the integrity of the Trump investigation.
In a final warning, Willis told Wade that testifying could lead to his disbarment, noting, “Mr. Wade has been instructed to not answer any questions about his role in the election interference case or about any evidence in that case.” She asserted that her duty as District Attorney is to protect the “secrecy and integrity of all criminal investigations” under her purview, and that she had no intention of waiving that responsibility for what she described as Jordan’s “politically motivated tactics.”
Despite Willis’s objections, Wade’s attorney confirmed that his client answered questions for hours in front of the House Judiciary Committee. The exact content of Wade’s testimony remains under wraps, but the committee appears to be digging deep into how Willis’s office allocated its funds and resources. Jordan has been vocal in his criticism of Willis, accusing her of prioritizing the Trump case over other pressing matters like violent crime and gang activity in Fulton County.
The Judiciary Committee’s inquiry into Willis’s financial practices is part of a broader investigation into whether local prosecutors are using federal funds to target political opponents. This is not the first time Willis has faced scrutiny. Trump and his allies have repeatedly questioned her motivations, accusing her of attempting to score political points by prosecuting the former president.
Wade’s testimony marks a significant development in the ongoing investigation into Willis’s office. If evidence surfaces that federal grant money was indeed misused, it could have serious implications for Willis, both legally and politically. For now, the House Judiciary Committee’s investigation continues, with Republicans determined to uncover any wrongdoing in her pursuit of Trump.
As the legal battle unfolds, all eyes will be on Willis and how she navigates the growing pressure from both political opponents and legal challenges. While she remains committed to pursuing the Trump case, this latest setback—failing to block her former lover’s testimony—could have far-reaching consequences for her office and its high-profile investigation.
Lock this corrupt to the core evil trouble-making traitor up!
I agree 1000%. It is so ironic that some of the lawyers, judges and politicians that are so corrupt and down right evil POSs can accuse Donald Trump of crimes that they themselves are so guilty of and the tax payer money spent on these phony cases to try to convict him. Everyone of them should be prosecuted for being traitors.
She should be sued by Donald Trump for defamation and interference in an election. Also be made to pay back every penny if the taxpayer money spent on this case and be barred from practicing law, ever again! She is lower than scum.
I absolutely agree that scum is much too good a word to describe her and any of her ilk!!!
I use the term demonic quite a bit as they must be demonically influenced, and that is straight out of hell so how much lower can one go!
Yes exactly; they lie, cheat and steal right in our faces breaking laws and not conducting themselves legitimately and responsibly seeking real justice but rather to scam us all! That is treachery and treason!
And oh how so many of the idiots forget the corruption and lies the Communist Traitors do,even when they’ve been reported and written in papers.
In Communist voters minds, all the criminal liars and thieves are saints and can do no wrong.
But President Trump is always at fault on everything the Communist are guilty of committing.
Totally agree Brother Michael.
This current administration I would have to say is the worst this Nation has ever endured and to me they think and act more like Nazi Germany’s WW II Gestapo led by the infamous Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels who coined the phrase “If you tell a lie long enough, it becomes the truth.”
F F W Fat Fanny Willis you’re a disgrace to the community.
You are going to prison on many corrupt criminal charges. You should’ve been smarter than that to screw with a bogus charge against Trump. I hope he can sue you for election interference and personal defrauding Trump. You stole money from the taxpayers and lied about everything. They should pull your licenses and fire you and take all your benefits away. You belong in prison for a long time.
Sue; absolutely correct and damn straight!
We pray for the winds of Justice to prevail more than those damned hurricanes did which can’t come quickly enough! I ask in Jesus’ name.
Amen.
