A recent high school track meet in Portland, Oregon, saw a controversial outcome when a biological male athlete, competing under the name Lia Rose, took the first-place spot in a girls’ event. Lia Rose, who previously competed in the boys’ division as Zachary Rose, emerged victorious in the high jump at the Portland Interscholastic League Varsity Relays. The winning height was 4 feet, 8 inches, narrowly surpassing the second-place competitor by two inches.
Under the name Zachary, this athlete’s performance in the boys’ division was lackluster. In 2023, when competing against junior varsity boys, Zachary Rose finished last out of 11 participants with a jump of 4 feet, 6 inches. This drastic change in performance has sparked discussions about fairness in sports.
Conservative voices have been vocal about this issue, emphasizing the need for policies that ensure fair competition. Video footage from conservative commentator David Medina highlights Lia Rose’s participation in the girls’ event. The footage has fueled further debate over transgender participation in female sports.
The situation is reminiscent of other instances where biological males have competed in women’s sports, sparking outrage among those who feel it undermines the integrity of female athletics. Critics argue that allowing such participation ignores biological differences and disadvantages female athletes. This issue has become a focal point in the broader discussion about gender identity and sports.
The controversy has not been limited to Oregon, as similar scenarios have played out across states like California and Washington. These states have been at the forefront of policy changes that some believe contradict the wishes of the majority of Americans. The ongoing debate highlights the divide between progressive policies and conservative values.
Supporters of transgender athletes argue for inclusivity and the right to compete in categories that align with their gender identity. However, opponents maintain that this compromises the level playing field essential for competitive sports. The clash of ideologies continues to be a contentious topic in the realm of athletics.
Former President Trump’s executive order aimed to address this issue by promoting fairness in sports. Despite this, states like Oregon have pushed forward with policies that some conservatives view as detrimental. This has only intensified the frustration among those who disagree with the direction these states are taking.
The discussion around transgender athletes in sports is not merely about competition but also about broader societal values. It raises questions about how to balance inclusivity with fairness. As these debates unfold, they reflect the ongoing cultural and political battles over gender and identity.
The participation of transgender athletes in sports remains a polarizing subject. For many conservatives, it represents a challenge to traditional values and the principles of fair competition. As these issues persist, they continue to spark impassioned responses from both sides of the political spectrum.
The situation in Oregon is just one example of how this debate is playing out nationwide. Each instance adds fuel to the ongoing discourse about the role of gender in sports. The conversation is far from over, as both sides remain steadfast in their beliefs.
As this issue evolves, it will likely remain a significant point of contention in American society. With emotions running high, the dialogue around transgender athletes in sports is a microcosm of the larger cultural battles taking place. The implications extend beyond the track and field, touching on fundamental questions about identity and equality.
While some hope for resolution, the reality is that this debate is deeply rooted in differing worldviews. For now, the discourse continues, reflecting the broader ideological divides within the country. The outcome of these discussions could have lasting impacts on the future of sports and gender policies.
As the dialogue persists, it is important to consider the perspectives and arguments from all sides. This issue challenges us to think critically about the principles we uphold in sports and society. The resolution will require thoughtful consideration and open dialogue.
In the meantime, the situation remains a flashpoint for political and social commentary. The debates surrounding transgender athletes are emblematic of larger cultural shifts and the evolving landscape of American values. As these discussions progress, they will shape the future of sports and society at large.
This ongoing saga is a testament to the complexity of modern identity politics. The debates are not only about sports but also about the values that define us as a society. As these issues continue to unfold, they will undoubtedly leave a lasting mark on the cultural and political landscape.
That’s disgusting. Imagine being so hard-up to win that you have to pretend to be a girl to win.
When will this transgender bullsh*t be criminalized?
Yo–Charley–Trump criminalized it but the liberals don’t care. They do what they want. Hopefully they will let Kamal Toe run again in 2028–what a gift that will be. Please notice that 50 of the 60 states that Trump tariffed are now negotiating. Just get some Preparation H and wait it out.
I essentially make about $9,000-$13,000 every month on the web. It’s sufficient to serenely supplant my old employments pay, particularly considering I just work around 10-13 hours every week from home. I was stunned how simple it was after I attempted it duplicate underneath web…..

Transgender–that’s a sickness. There’s only male and female, confirmed by chromosomes and by autopsies. You don’t treat a sickness by letting transgender males compete against females. What that does is discriminate against all women everywhere.
Exactly mike, that ball sack sniffing transgender couldn’t win against real males probably because his mommy hand bathed him, spoon fed him, dolled him up with panties and skirts and read fairytale books until the age of 16.
He’s a loser and a sissy for the rest of his life.
this is insane. so much for women’s sports or women’s rights in general. stop this crap
jdalabama, the blame should go to the Communist Joe Biden and his laughable Joke of an Administration since they pushed transgender operations.
And they call themselves the champions of Women’s rights.
All bullshit.
What a candy-a$$ed disgrace!! That guy should be run out of town. Last as a male, first as a girl. Bet he sits down to Pee. Shame on the organization that permitted this travesty.
Nail his balls to a stump and push him over backwards. Or
Make a mama out of him a chop it right off since he wants to be a girl help him out chop chop.
Rapists and Kweer men should have their tails chopped off.
Make Eunuchs’ great again.
What a cowardly twisted sick Bastard!!! They say every dog has its day, well I say and that goes for sickos that pervert anything they can to get their way unjustly!
I had relatives that signed up to serve their country in World War II and protect it and their families, and a few of them were only 16 but fudged a document which later while actually in the War it caught up and the military would send them home, but enough time lapsed that if parent would sign for them they could stay in service; and the fathers were so proud of their sons being MEN and signed! MEN!
Back then there were mostly Men doing worthwhile things like that, but, not cheating like a weak freak to get praise like these cowardly do now!
Exactly Brother, Men are Men.
My Father served in the U.S Airforce during the Korean War and my Uncle served in the U.S Army and my Brother and I served in the U.S Army, my Father’s friend Audie Murphy served during WW11 as a male.
All born as males, served as males and remained males.
That’s what I’m talking about Brother! Thank God we had such “Men to Serve and Protect;” to me they were all Champions and Defenders the way God intended! Yes so good you mention Audie, I remember reading about him and all the good he did not just in that war but back in Texas where he was from. I quote; “At the age of 18, 1st Lt. Audie L. Murphy single-handedly held off around 250 German infantrymen. He ordered his men to retreat deep in the woods. After spotting a .50-caliber machine gun on the turret of an abandoned, burning tank destroyer, he climbed on top and fired at the advancing Germans. He repelled the attack from the enemy soldiers for an hour and ended up killing and injuring fifty of them.
He only stopped when he ran out of ammunition. He sustained a leg wound but he disregarded his injury so he could rejoin his men and remain with them. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions.” worldwarwings.com
“Murphy earned 33 awards, citations and decorations, including all possible medals of valor from the U.S., as well as three French and one Belgian medal. He is still widely known to be the most-decorated U.S. soldier of all time.” ://www.defense.gov/News/Feature-Stories/Story/Article/4035082/medal-of-honor-monday-army-maj-audie-murphy/
Yup, Audie was a year older than my Dad, and they both attended the same High School in Farmers ville Texas, Audie dropped out of School to support his Mom and Brother and Sister. When WW11 broke out Audie, lied about his age and tried to get in the Navy, Marines, And they knew he was a kid, but the Army took him.
Everything you said is true about Audie, after WW11 was over Korea started their crap and that’s when my Dad joined the Airforce.
My uncle James, (my Dad’s youngest brother) joined the Army when Vietnam broke out.
My brother and I attended Ysleta High School in El Paso, Texas, after graduation we both joined the Army during peace time. I took 4 years of ROTC and received a letter from Lt. Col. Bracy that would give me the rank of PFC, during basic training.
So there you have it, pretty much all in the Family.
Good God all of them back then so honorable and upright young Men and really just kids in a sense, hardly been out in the world and lived, but they took on duty and doing what’s right with dignity and determination; God bless them all Brother I love them!
Your family all patriots and true protectors of the family and their nation! Now that’s all something to be thankful and proud of for sure Brother!
That Audie really was an amazing young man back then; and no wonder I read that the famous movie star of that era James Cagney when Audie was back stateside from combat after the war, he gave Audie an open invitation into the movie industry giving him the start that led to quite a beautiful career as a movie star himself! He did have a very natural down to earth good guy appeal too!
What was it down there in your hometown that inspired all of you to be so determined to serve and protect; was it what they fed Y’all or just plain everyday lessons in life to get up and get going to get her done; not to be complainers like we seem to have a whole new generation or world of today!!!
I thank you and your fine family members for serving our Nation!
My best!
I don’t know brother Lawrence, I believe it’s more of a tradition.
The entire family recited the pledge of allegiance in grade School and gave thanks at lunch time.
It was definitely a different era, we rode horses, raised horses, cattle, bailed hay, fished, hunted and shot skeet for competition, and my sister rode in the ceremony beginning of a rodeo. She carried the American Flag and sometimes traded off to another rider while she carried the Texas, Flag..
We were true Americans, and we’re not seeing any of that today.
It sickens me to no end.
That’s it True Americans back then and all they did was exemplary tradition with honor and pride!
It is sickening how we apparently have the polar opposite now where more Citizens either don’t care or even have some anger toward our traditions!
Sure see that, your sister and all the family were forthright! They lived by and projected their good morals and intestinal fortitude! When I look around at what has happened to our Nation and what people are like now I often think of this Scripture that is “a warning!”
Isaiah 5:19-21 “to those who say, “Let Him hurry and hasten His work so that we may see it! Let the plan of the Holy One of Israel come so that we may know it!” 20Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who turn darkness to light and light to darkness, who replace bitter with sweet and sweet with bitter. 21Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight.”
Amen.
There is only one side important here. Are you a female competing? Yes? Next!
Too bad he didnt catch his balls on something and rip them off! Then he maybe could claim to be female. Nah, still isnt female🫤
