It’s a sad occasion when a Supreme Court justice passes away, regardless of their ideology. However, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s passing provides conservatives an opportunity to do what they spent decades telling us they have wanted since judicial activism became the norm in the 1960s. Now is the time to either put up or shut up. We won’t get another chance like this in our lifetime.
From outlawing prayer and Bible reading in public schools to the disgraceful and heinous Roe v. Wade decision, which unconstitutionally legalized abortion because the Judiciary does not have the authority to create laws, conservative Republicans have longed for the scenario of a Republican president and a Republican-controlled US Senate ending the practice of judges making laws and relinquish that role to the Congress, which is where the Founders wrote it should be that way in a little thing called the US Constitution.
However, we all know that Republican presidents have appointed a number of liberals to the Court be they open and honest about it or a real disappointment like the current Chief Justice. President Dwight D Eisenhower appointed five members to the Supreme Court, including Earl Warren and William Brennan.
It is said that Eisenhower years later stated, “I have made two mistakes, and they are both sitting on the Supreme Court.”
Richard Nixon gave us Justice Harry Blackmun who pretty much wrote Roe v. Wade.
Gerald Ford named liberal John Paul Stevens.
Ronald Reagan picked Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, who ruled to uphold a number of challenges to Roe v. Wade, and Justice Anthony Kennedy, who ruled as the deciding vote to destroy the institution of marriage when he approved of making same-sex marriage constitutional. Kennedy became a swing vote for the Court, which is worse than anything because it showed that he understood a judge’s job is not to rule based on the popularity or unpopularity of a law brought before him, but to base it on whether or not said law stands up to the standards of the Constitution. Kennedy sometimes did that, and sometimes did not, because he ruled with the liberals on the court for cases that clearly violated our most sacred document.
George H.W. Bush picked David Souter, a liberal who among other disastrous rulings, was the deciding vote to allow liberal local jurisdictions to take away your land through diluted standards for Eminent Domain because the locals claim the tax revenues would be higher for the government if they could take the land and develop something else on it.
And that brings us to George W Bush’s pick of John Roberts, who has already done a lot of damage to our country, his flip flop on Obamacare being one of the most egregious. He’s the same one who recently chastised President Donald Trump by saying there are no Democrat or Republican justices. I guess he hasn’t seen the latest hysterical fallout from the Left upon learning Justice Ginsburg has assumed room temperature. I also have to guess that Roberts will not understand this story.
Democratic presidents haven’t ever ever ever ever faced this problem. Their nominees have been reliably liberal in their interpretation of the Constitution, which is to say that rather than ruling based on if the law brought before them stands up to the standards of the Constitution, they work harder at trying to figure out bullschtein interpretations for how they can magically find standards to make the Constitution fit the law before them.
President Donald Trump says he intends to nominate someone to replace Justice Ginsburg from a list that he made public, and he’s challenged Democratic presidential nominee and former vice president Joe Biden to do the same. But, so far, Biden has refused to do so, because any list like that would have to satisfy the warped brains of the radical far left of his base, and the names that would be on such a list would never be acceptable to the American people.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) guarantees vote when the Senate Judiciary Committee votes on Trump’s appointee. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) is the Chairman of the committee, and if his reaction to how disgusting the Democrats on the committee treated now Justice Brett Kavanaugh, it’s going to be an interesting confirmation hearing.

Graham recently said that the Republicans in the Senate have the votes to confirm a Trump nominee.
“We’ve got the votes to confirm Justice Ginsburg’s replacement before the election,” Graham told Fox News’ Sean Hannity.
Accusations of hypocrisy have already been hurled at GOP Senators for not holding a hearing for Merrick Garland after Justice Antonin Scalia passed away. Forget the fact that the Democrats are the ones who are have been hypocritical all along. Barack Obama was a Democrat president and the Senate had a Republican majority. You would have to go back to 1880 to find when a Senate held a confirmation hearing during an election year for a nominee pushed by a president of the opposing party. It’s been the norm since the 19th century that you only hold a confirmation hearing during an election year if the Senate is the same party as the sitting president. That’s because it means that the American people have already decided which party they trust to place people on the court. A divided scenario indicates the American voters wish to wait for the next election. Democrats know and understand this, but they have always been like petulant spoiled children who don’t care about rules or traditions. They just want their way. And if the Kavanaugh hearings are any indication, we’re going to see Democrats openly and viciously attack a female nominee since the president as said his choice will be a woman.
The Democrats and their sycophants in the media are already at work picking away at RINOs who are up for reelection, knowing they can mentally get to them by threatening to target them to lose to their opponents. But that’s what opposing parties do anyway, so why not follow the Constutution and as Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer said to Senate Republicans lover Garland, #DoYourJob.
Yet, even Justice Ginsburg said that the a nomination should be made to replace her, despite what I believe are the lies of her granddaughter who said her grandmother’s final wish was to not have Trump replace her.
“There’s nothing in the Constitution that says the president stops being the president in his last year.”
These RINOs, and Never Trumpers alike, should forget that it’s Donald Trump making the nomination to replace Ginsburg, and vote to reform the High Court by returning it back to the way our Founding Fathers designed it to be; a court that uses the US Constitution as the standard.
Conservatives have been excruciatingly patient for decades as this moment has arrived. Republican senators who side with Democrats to not vote for a Trump nominee should find themselves unemployed after their next election.
