Guns are not the enemy. Criminals and crazy people with guns are Often, good guys with a legal firearm can disarm a dangerous situation. Law-abiding gun owners have saved the day more than once. Crooks and criminals are usually cowards.
So, when they’re face-to-face with a person who also has a gun, they cut their tail and run away. That’s exactly what happened to a “Chicago bro.” Rakim Stephen Tate was in Florida. It seems the 32-year-old Chicago native thought it was a wise idea to rob a convenience store.
Maybe Tate thought Florida was full of mostly old people and beach dudes. He probably assumed that if he waltzed into a store wielding a shotgun, no one would put up much resistance. It turns out that Mr. Tate was wrong; very wrong.
His bad decision to rob a store clerk at gunpoint quickly evolved into an extremely bad decision. The store’s surveillance cameras picked up Tate walking around holding a shotgun down at his side. Tate is heard saying, “I don’t mean any harm, I’m just not from around here.”
He bragged to the store clerk, “I’ve got a big (expletive) (expletive) gun, but I’m not from around here, is what I’m saying. I’m from Chicago, bro. ” Well, the store clerk had been watching as Tate entered the store. When the clerk saw the gun, he went in the back to get his own.
It seems the “rules of engagement” were not what Mr. Tate had anticipated. Tate is overheard asking the clerk what kind of gun he had. Apparently, it didn’t matter. Tate chickened out and walked out of the store.
The “Chicago bro” didn’t get very far. Tate was heard mumbling something as he walked out. The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office greeted their out-of-state visitor and promptly offered him lodging at the county jail.
While arresting Mr. Tate for armed robbery, they reflected that, “You’re not in Chicago anymore; you’re under arrest. “Words seem to fail you when your felony attempt is thwarted by lawful and righteous force.” Score another one for a good guy with a gun.
Another school dropout –cuz school ain’t cool — who has to rob and steal to survive because has zero marketable skills, zero initiative, zero talent, and zero ambition.
It’s always good to see a lawful gun owner stop an illegal owner of a gun. He looks like he is not sure what he is doing anyway. Glad the sheriff department gave him a ride. He needs to be off the streets. We don’t act like that in Florida or anywhere in the south.
He just needs to go back to the windy city when he gets out of jail.
Not once in this video did Mr. Tate do anything threatening (the simple act of being armed is NOT treatening). Chicago or Florida, he has Second Amendment Rights.
We’re starting to lose those, Mike
LOL…He’s from Shitcago. No wonder he carries a rifle.
he probably thinking he will be released with no bail…lets prove him wrong!!
