Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is by far one of the worst governors I’ve ever seen.
There are still quite a few bad ones from the past and from the present that may actually have him beat as far as being the worst. Gavin Newsom is one who comes to mind when I think about this.
But while Cuomo was still under investigation over the sexual misconduct allegations against several women, his brother Chris Cuomo was doing one of two things: He was either ignoring the matter altogether and not even talking about it on his program on CNN even though at times there was the most talked-about current event in circulation, or he was trying to defend his brother.
Thankfully he was finally removed from office through his resignation after being pressured by several Democrats to do so including Chuck Schumer himself. The person in charge doesn’t really seem to be that much better but in some ways I’m sure she is, however, she’s just as liberal as Cuomo was.
Shortly after Andrew Cuomo was removed as governor Chris Cuomo was eventually fired from CNN. If you ask me my opinion this should have happened a long time ago however I’m glad that it finally did actually take place.
But what was it that actually got him fired?
Will the claim from CNN says that there was some new information that came to light about his involvement with his brother’s defense.
The videos match transcripts that proved the former CNN host would reach out to media industry connections in order to help his brother. The videos, released in four parts, are part of what New York Attorney General Letitia James’s office called “the final set of videos, transcripts, and corresponding exhibits from the independent investigation into sexual harassment allegations” against the former governor. The state initially refrained from releasing transcripts and footage but complied with New York discovery laws once a criminal complaint was filed against Andrew Cuomo.
While transcripts alone were enough to end Cuomo’s CNN career, the video of his testimony provides a clear picture of the former “Cuomo Prime Time” host elaborating on his role in his brother’s scandal.
“When asked, I would reach out to sources, other journalists, to see if they had heard of anybody else coming out,” Cuomo told investigators.
Cuomo’s admission contradicted what he told CNN viewers in August when he claimed, “I never made calls to the press about my brother’s situation.”
Here are some of the highlights from his testimony:
