A crowd of women reportedly gathered outside a courthouse in Massachusetts to show support for Lindsay Clancy, the mother accused of killing her three children, Cora, Dawson and Callan Clancy, drawing sharp criticism online after video of the scene circulated on social media.

According to a widely shared post, hundreds of women showed up at the courthouse and cheered as Clancy drove by. One woman quoted in the video said of the case, “It could be me,” suggesting she could imagine herself in Clancy’s position. The post accompanying the video also included the commentary, “Bring back the asylums.”

The gathering, and the reaction to it, has become the subject of a column published by The Federalist, which used the scene to argue that public sympathy for Clancy reflects a broader cultural and moral breakdown. The column did not report new details about the legal proceedings against Clancy, focusing instead on the courthouse crowd and the online reaction to it.

Details about the current stage of the criminal case, including scheduling of hearings or trial dates, were not included in the source material reviewed for this report. Daily Presser has not independently verified the size of the crowd or the identity of the woman quoted in the video.
