Donald Trump has stepped back into the Oval Office, and his impact on illegal immigration is already making waves. Just two days into his refreshed presidency, Tom Homan, the newly appointed border czar, has highlighted the swift changes at the U.S.-Mexico border. According to Homan, the transformation in border enforcement has been both dramatic and immediate.

Within hours of his inauguration, Trump signed a series of executive orders aimed at tightening immigration policies. These actions included declaring a national emergency at the border, putting an end to the controversial catch-and-release practice, and eliminating birthright citizenship. By scrapping the CBP One app and temporarily halting foreign aid and refugee resettlement programs, Trump has signaled a decisive shift in immigration strategy.

During a discussion with Fox News host Lawrence Jones, Homan was asked, “Can you give me the latest numbers on the border?” after Jones played a clip of Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes criticizing Trump’s deportation policies and likening ICE detention centers to “concentration camps.”

Homan responded enthusiastically, noting, “Absolutely. Look, the greatest president in my lifetime, he’s back. Because in two days, the last 24 hours, total apprehensions on the southwest border: 766. Compare that to the 10 to 12,000 Biden had at one time.”

Homan further emphasized changes in enforcement, stating, “CBP One releases: zero. CHNV—Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, Venezuela—releases: zero. Total of 766 across the entire Southwest border. That is a game changer.” The notable reduction in numbers highlights a significant shift from the previous administration’s approach.

The conversation soon shifted to resistance from certain Democrat state attorneys general regarding federal immigration enforcement. Homan criticized this opposition, pointing to the legal precedent affirming immigration enforcement as a federal responsibility. Referencing Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes, Homan stated, “She has no say in that.”

He also expressed outrage over her comparisons of ICE detention facilities to concentration camps, declaring, “Are you serious? ICE has the detention centers with the best standards in the entire industry. I’ll compare ICE detention standards to any state, federal, or city facility in the entire world.”

Homan dismissed Mayes’s comparison as “an insult and a lie.” This exchange underscores the contentious nature of immigration debates, with Homan defending ICE’s practices and facilities. He also pointed out ICE’s prioritization of public safety threats, noting that in just the last 24 hours, ICE arrested over 308 illegal alien criminals, including some who were murderers and rapists, emphasizing the agency’s focus on individuals who pose the greatest danger, as outlined by President Trump.

Reflecting on his bipartisan experience, Homan recalled his time serving under President Obama as a key advisor to then-DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson. Johnson himself once praised Homan’s enforcement expertise, remarking, “I made no significant decision on enforcement policy without having in the room Tom Homan… [one of] two pro-enforcement guys.” This acknowledgment from a previous administration highlights Homan’s longstanding commitment to stringent immigration enforcement.

Homan’s comments and actions illustrate the ongoing debate around immigration enforcement and the stark differences in approach between administrations. His steadfast defense of ICE operations and standards reinforces his belief in prioritizing safety and order at the border.

The Trump administration’s early moves on immigration have reignited discussions on how best to manage the country’s borders. Supporters argue that these measures are necessary to maintain national security and uphold the rule of law, while critics remain vocal in their opposition. The debate is likely to continue as the administration rolls out further immigration policies.

In the meantime, Homan and other officials remain committed to the administration’s agenda, focusing on immediate changes and their long-term effects. The changes at the border are a testament to Trump’s campaign promises of stronger immigration enforcement.

As the administration progresses, the impact of these policies will be closely monitored. Observers anticipate continued discussions on their effectiveness and the potential for legal challenges.

Trump’s clear stance on immigration has been a defining feature of his political career, and it continues to shape the political landscape. With bold actions and steadfast supporters, the administration’s immigration policies are poised to remain a central topic of national discourse.

While some may disagree with the administration’s approach, it’s undeniable that Trump’s return to the presidency has already begun to reshape border policies. The coming days and months will reveal the full extent of these changes and their implications for the nation.

  • So ….NOW DHS, Border Patrol and ICE will do their sworn jobs?

Fk the DHS, Border Patrol and ICE and here’s why!Dereliction of duty is a specific offense under United States Code Title 10, Section 892, Article 92 and applies to all branches of the US military.

A service member who is derelict has willfully refused to perform his duties or has incapacitated himself in such a way that he cannot perform his duties.

The only activity I saw for 15 years from active duty troops, DHS, FBI, ICE, Border Patrol, etc. was protecting their pensions. For 15 years DHS, Border Patrol and ICE have followed Obama, Eric Holder, Janet Reno and Joe Biden’s ILLEGAL MEMO’s and EXECUTIVE ORDERS …….CANNOT….. void, replace, modify or ignore existing US immigration laws.

    WTF is the apology?

The complicit cowards were …NOT… protecting the US Border or the American citizens! Congress and the Feral Courts are still complicit for letting it happen.

A massive RICO conspiracy case exists against the Democrat Party, GOP RINO’s, US Government agencies for allowing Drug Smuggling, Human Smuggling, Illegal alien invasion, Terrorist, Bio-Weapon and Nuclear Threats, and undercutting US Military strength with DEI/CRT/ESG moral crushing policies.

Who will or can arrest all the above traitors for treason?

Obviously no one in the past Biden administration.
The aforementioned were complicit in treason!

Soo, I ask again! 35 year man Holman, WTF is the apology?
