A Los Angeles-based coffeehouse chain has earned the top spot in a national ranking of airport quick-bite spots. Urth Caffé, with an outpost inside Los Angeles International Airport, was named the best airport grab-and-go eatery in the country as part of USA Today’s annual 10 Best Readers’ Choice Awards.

The LAX location sits in Terminal 1, Level 3. Urth Caffé is known for organic coffees and boba teas, and the LAX outpost also serves pancakes, sandwiches and pizzas alongside breakfast, lunch and dinner service.

“This win reflects what our team strives for every day: quality coffee and food, along with an exceptional experience for every guest,” said Gaelle Bou Raffoul, general manager of the LAX location, in comments to LAMag. “I’m grateful for the care my team brings to each interaction and proud to see their work recognized.”

Urth Caffé began in 1991 with a single location on Melrose Avenue and has since built a reputation among celebrities, including appearances in episodes of HBO’s “Entourage.” The chain now operates more than a dozen locations across California and Nevada, including sites in West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica and Las Vegas.

“A heartfelt thank you to our treasured guests for voting Urth Caffé at LAX the No. 1 airport grab-and-go in the USA!” said Shallom Berkman, co-founder of Urth Caffé. “We are privileged to serve you, from the heart, our exclusive heirloom organic coffee, matcha and healthy, fresh cuisine sourced directly from local, organic, regenerative family farms.”

LAX was not the only California airport honored in the rankings. Napa Farms Market, located at San Francisco International Airport, placed sixth on the list.

Urth Caffé’s reach is extending beyond the United States. The company already operates locations in Dubai and Saudi Arabia through a franchise arrangement, and plans to open its first United Kingdom location in London’s Covent Garden in early 2027.
