Sharon Osbourne says a cosmetic procedure went wrong years ago and left her with a lasting mark on her face, according to a conversation on Thursday’s episode of “The Osbournes” podcast.
Osbourne, 74, was asked by her son Jack Osbourne whether she had ever felt “scared” going into a procedure. “I have when I’ve woken up and seen the mistakes,” she said.
She described one incident in detail, recalling discoloration that ran “this color black, all the way down here,” gesturing from her upper lip to her chin. “I have an indentation left from it,” she said, adding that her reaction at the time was, “What the hell?”
Osbourne speculated that the surgeon handed off part of the procedure to an associate while he “took a phone call.” She said she later returned to complain. “You go, ‘What is in this that you’re injecting me with?’ and they go, ‘Don’t worry. It’s my special concoction. It’ll work,'” she recalled. “It didn’t f—king work,” she said. “I’ve got a dent.”
Jack Osbourne and his wife, Aree Gearhart, both told her during the podcast that they don’t notice any dent. Osbourne responded sarcastically, “It’s not like I earned my living out of my f—king face,” while acknowledging that pursuing the procedures was her own choice.
On the cycle of cosmetic work
Osbourne also described the escalating commitment that can come with repeated cosmetic procedures. “You have your face done. You’ve got a tight face,” she said, noting that she avoids showing her arms because “they’re wrinkly and marked” and “the skin’s going.” “It’s like, what about the rest of you?” she said. “And then you’ve got a face that looks 50, and your body looks your age.”
She called the recovery process “brutal.” Asked whether she’s finished having work done on her face, she replied, “Oh Jack. Who am I doing it for now?” — an apparent reference to her late husband, Ozzy Osbourne.
This is not the first time Osbourne has spoken publicly about cosmetic surgery going poorly. In 2023, she said she was done with plastic surgery altogether after a 2021 facelift left her looking, in her words to the Sunday Times, “like a f—king Cyclops.”
“That one put me off and it frightens me. I really f–king pushed it with the last facelift and I am now like, no more,” she told the Sun in April 2023.
She added at the time, “Time is against me, I cannot have another facelift.”
