A Pennsylvania woman is facing criminal homicide charges after her husband and their 3-year-old son were found stabbed to death inside a room at the Great Wolf Lodge resort in the Pocono region of Monroe County, Pennsylvania.

Metallica Rose Harrison, 27, is accused of using butcher knives to kill her husband, Charles “Chaz” Harrison, 36, and the couple’s young son on Monday. The family, from the small rural town of Towanda, Pennsylvania, was staying at the resort on an extended three-week visit that began Sept. 21 and was scheduled to end Tuesday.

According to a criminal complaint, officers were sent to the hotel after a 911 call reporting a “suicidal woman” who “needed help dying.” When they arrived, they found the two victims with stab wounds inside the room, along with knives, blood and various medications.

Great Wolf Lodge rooms at the resort can run more than $600 a night, and officials have called the length of the family’s stay unusual. In a statement to Fox News Digital, a spokesperson for the resort said, “We’ve had families in the past stay at our resorts for extended periods of time while completing home renovations or repairs because our rooms are larger and there’s a lot of entertainment offerings, so a multi-week stay is uncommon, but not completely unusual.”

The spokesperson did not say how the family was covering the cost of the stay and referred further questions to law enforcement, adding that the company is “cooperating fully with local law enforcement as they conduct their investigation.”

Before the killings, Harrison had posted photos on social media showing the family at the resort’s indoor waterpark. Records indicate the couple had been married for roughly three years.

Chaz Harrison’s sister, Melissa Rivera, wrote online that “their passing was sudden, and we are heartbroken trying to come to terms with losing two people we loved so dearly.” She started a fundraiser to cover funeral costs, writing, “Chaz was a good guy whose whole life was centered around his wife and child. He meant so much to our family, and the pain of losing both him and my nephew so unexpectedly is hard to put into words.”

Harrison is being held without bond in the Monroe County jail. She is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Oct. 21.
