Stacey Dixon, a Biden appointee known for her advocacy of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within the intelligence community, is set to take on the role of Acting Director of National Intelligence.

The White House is awaiting the confirmation of Tulsi Gabbard for the permanent position. Dixon, who previously served as Principal Deputy Director of DNI and was brought into the role during the Trump administration’s transition period, will step in as the acting DNI, according to Politico.

The confirmation hearing for Tulsi Gabbard has yet to be scheduled by the Senate, with reports suggesting that Democrats on the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence have not engaged with Gabbard since her nomination was announced.

Allegations have surfaced that Virginia Senator Mark Warner, a top Democrat on the committee, delayed responding to Gabbard’s inquiries, potentially stalling the process for other Democrats to meet with her.

Warner cited incomplete paperwork as the reason, though Gabbard’s team accused the Democrats of “playing politics.”

Despite being seen as “less partisan” than Morgan Muir, the deputy DNI for mission integration, Dixon has been vocal about her commitment to DEI.

In a 2020 visit to the Defense Intelligence Agency, she emphasized, “Diversity is great, but if people don’t feel like they can bring their ideas to the table it doesn’t matter. Inclusion is just as important.”

Before her role in the DNI, Dixon served as Deputy Director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and led the Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity. At a 2019 event, she expressed her motivation to promote diversity and inclusion at the NGA, highlighting that women constitute 32 percent of the agency’s workforce.

Dixon stressed the importance of diversity and inclusion as “critical for national security,” and the agency accelerated efforts to recruit women and minorities.

Her initiatives earned her a place in the Executive Mosaic Wash100 Award in 2020, recognizing her commitment to education, diversity, and future space exploration.

However, the intelligence community has faced criticism for its focus on diversity initiatives, particularly following a terrorist attack on New Year’s. Critics argue that hiring should prioritize competence over diversity.

Robby Starbuck expressed concerns on social media, stating, “Hiring solely to ‘increase diversity’ is a threat to national security for everyone. DEI must end.”

The New Orleans FBI office, which had been involved in DEI hiring events under the Biden administration, has been implicated as potentially overlooking a suspected ISIS terrorist.

Former agents have pointed to the administration’s political agenda as a possible reason for the oversight. The FBI confirmed that its DEI office was shut down in December.

While the Trump transition team has not responded to inquiries, the discussion around DEI within the intelligence community continues to be a contentious issue. The balance between diversity and operational effectiveness remains a priority in ensuring national security.

  • While I understand — but do not agree with — the principles of DEI, critical performance jobs should based on merit. The “best person for the job” is a combination of intelligence, education, pertinent experience and demonstrated stamina. All candidates for high level jobs in particular should not be based on gender or race, they should be based on the attributes that candidates bring to the table. If you want DEI worked into the job filling process, each candidate’s application should exclude the person’s name, race, gender and picture. Judge on merits — not on what some perceive as DEI.

  • The human waste product Dixon will be licking out toilet bowls before she ever gets anywhere near the position of DNI!
Start exercising your tongue Dixon you simpleton freak!

  • Negros like Dixon are why people hate them.
The only things negroes know how to do, is bully, whine, steal and destroy.
Trying to educate them is a waste of time. All they have to do is yell “das raciss” or “don’t touch me” and they get their way.

  • Shitmer declared and directed from the podium in the Senate that all Democrat Senators were to obstruct, vote down and delay any and all of Trumps candidates for cabinet or other appointments and it seems that the Dums have followed orders and have NOT earned anything. Unfortunately, only Rubio got the full Senate vote. All others have been delayed and some have not even been brought before the committees. Now, we have to wait two years to vote them out of office and move this forward in a positive direction.

    • “Wait two years to vote them out of office?” As a long ago American icon would say, “That’ll Be The Day.” Sadly, these people are ‘voted’ into office by the same ill-informed, ill-educated, misanthropes, as are they! All anyone need do is look at that ‘misnamed’ “Squad.” They are proof positive that contrary to the claim that the media, network talking heads, and our erudite (not) ‘Representatives,’ parrot that “The American People Are Not Stupid,” the ‘American People Are Quite Stupid.’ At least those participants in that thing called ‘The American Electorate,’ are QUITE STUPID. Or, as ole Forrest sagaciously stated, “STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES.”

  • Shitmer that spineless evil ugly bastard needs to be tried and executed at GITMO as a flat-out TRAITOR!
When is he going to face ACCOUNTABILITY! Dear Lord please I pray that you intervene and rid us of this evil scourge!

  • Every one of these ‘slo-walking’ Democrats need to be excommunicated out of the country. Most of these DEI lovers have FAILED to contribute anything substantial for improving the country! They are ALL political hacks, interested only in their own ‘best interests!’ They are definitely ‘part of the problem,’ and NOT part of the solution.
