Jen Affleck filed for divorce from husband Zac Affleck in Utah on Tuesday, submitting a proposed parenting plan as part of the filing. A day later, the “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” co-stars were both posting about their eldest daughter Nora’s 5th birthday on Instagram.
Jen, 27, shared a photo of Nora beside a new bike in a kitchen decorated with streamers and balloons. “I can’t believe she’s already 5,” she wrote.
Zac, 30, posted a video of Nora blowing out candles on a birthday donut while her younger brother Lucas, 3, played nearby. “Happy birthday Rara!” he wrote. “I hope all your dreams always come true.”
It’s unclear whether Jen was present for that footage. She was not visible in a separate video Zac posted of a theme park outing with Nora, captioned, “Happy Birthday to my baby girl! You have the biggest heart and make everything feel a little extra magical. I love you.”
The couple has three children together — Nora, born in November 2021; Lucas, born in July 2023; and Penelope, born in July 2025 — and announced in June they are expecting a fourth. Jen posted new ultrasound photos on Instagram Wednesday with a heart emoji.
A source told People that the two “are staying focused on preparing for the baby and supporting their kids” as they work through the divorce.
Last year, Jen told Us Weekly that her marriage to Zac was “stronger than ever,” saying, “Sometimes you go through a rough patch and for some people it’s the end and it ends with divorce and for other people they fight through it and it ends up being a blessing in disguise.”
The couple’s relationship has played out over four seasons of “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” since 2024. They are also part of the cast of “SLOMW: Orange County,” which premieres Nov. 12.
