Brianna Coppage, the former St. Clair High School English teacher whose adult-content work ended her teaching career in Franklin County, Missouri, says her best month in the business brought in $550,000.

“Oh, my best month was 550,000,” Coppage told Fox News Digital.

Coppage was placed on administrative leave in 2023 after school officials discovered her online work, and she later resigned. She now appears on TLC’s “Double Lives of Suburban Wives,” a series following six couples in the St. Louis area who balance marriage and parenthood with adult-content businesses.

Asked whether a single month in her current line of work now outearns a full year of her former teaching salary, Coppage said simply, “Yes.”

She told Fox News Digital she would not return to teaching even if offered the chance. “Never. Never,” she said, citing “the lifestyle and the time and being able to just be in control of myself and in my business.”

Questioning the Firing

Coppage said she still wrestles with whether losing her teaching position was fair, noting that school officials never pointed to a specific rule she had broken.

“So obviously like professions have a level of professionalism, but also they couldn’t cite anything that I technically broke. So was I really doing anything wrong? I don’t know. I think it’s on a basis of morality.”

She also disputed a claim she says has circulated about her employment contract. “There was no like morality clause, which is a lot of… there’s a misconception about that, that I signed something or a clause, a morality clause,” she said. “There wasn’t one. So I don’t know.”

Financial Turnaround

Coppage said the money has reshaped her family’s finances. “My family was able to pay off all of our debts. I paid off my student loans,” she said. “So I stopped putting groceries on credit cards.”

She described growing up with little money and said the new income lets her give her children experiences she never had. “Family vacations and letting my kids experience things that I never would have is really priceless.”

The success has come with a loss of privacy, she said. “I think the greatest thing it has cost me is the privacy, the lack of privacy,” she said, adding that public scrutiny sometimes makes her feel dehumanized. “I’m not a human anymore. I’m not normal just like everybody else when truly I am. Like we are human beings too.”

Marriage Strains

The show has also documented tension between Coppage and her husband, Phillip, who are business partners as well as spouses. Asked whether she considered an incident involving Phillip to be cheating, she drew a distinction. “It wasn’t a physical act, so no,” she said, “but yeah, definitely a breach of trust and a betrayal.”

The couple has gone to therapy to work through the fallout. “There’s been a lot of learning and taking accountability,” Coppage said. “Without that, I don’t know where we would stand.”

She said she wants the show’s unvarnished look at their marriage to resonate with viewers. “I like that this is on the show honestly, because it does show that no marriage is perfect and people go through struggles. But I think at the end of the day, it matters how you work through that.”

What She’d Tell Her Daughter

Despite her own success, Coppage said she would not necessarily encourage her daughter to pursue the same career. “It’s not something that I’m going to encourage,” she said, though she said she would want her daughter to feel loved and respected regardless of her choices. “Just as I want people to love me and respect me and not judge me, I would give her that same love and respect.”
