The FBI has placed a $1 million bounty on Satinderjeet Singh, an Indian national known as Goldy Brar, after adding him to its Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list on Monday. Singh is accused of leading the North American branch of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, an Indian criminal organization tied to assassinations, shootings, kidnappings, and drug and arms trafficking across the United States and Canada.
Singh, born in Punjab and believed to be in his early 30s, is based in the United States and has known ties to Sacramento and Fresno, according to the FBI. He also has connections to Canada, India, and Mexico.
The bureau described Singh as “extremely violent, armed, and dangerous” and urged the public not to approach him.
“The public is warned to avoid interaction with Singh. Instead, they should contact the FBI or law enforcement. You may provide information anonymously, and confidentiality is guaranteed,” the FBI said.
Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI’s toll-free tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324), contact a local FBI office or the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate, or submit a tip online at tips.fbi.gov.
In July, a federal court in Los Angeles issued an arrest warrant for Singh, charging him with racketeering conspiracy, conspiracy to interfere with commerce by extortion, and conspiracy to distribute controlled substances.
“Satinderjeep Singh, also known as Goldy Brar, is a dangerous individual, and the FBI and our partners have made it our priority to apprehend him, which is why we’re adding him to the FBI’s list of Top Ten fugitives and offering a reward of up to $1 million dollars for his capture,” said FBI Los Angeles Assistant Director in Charge Patrick Grandy.
“The amount of attention this list will bring to his face and description cannot be overstated; his photo will be found on every FBI-affiliated website and social media platform, and will be publicized on every phone around the world until he’s caught,” Grandy said.
A Wider Crackdown
The case comes months after U.S. authorities, working with Canadian and European law enforcement, announced the results of “Operation Hardball” in July — a joint effort that led to 24 arrests and 37 people charged in connection with three India-based transnational crime groups.
The Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which Singh allegedly leads in North America, is headed overall by imprisoned Indian gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The organization has been linked to the June 2023 assassination of Sikh separatist leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Canada, a killing that former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau alleged was directed by the Indian government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi — an accusation that triggered a serious diplomatic rupture between the two countries. Canada designated the gang a terrorist entity in September 2025.
