The House Judiciary Committee has been investigating Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis for over a year, focusing on her involvement in the Georgia election case against former President Donald Trump.

Now, the committee is seeking testimony from Nathan Wade, Willis’s former romantic partner and the former prosecutor in that same case.

However, there’s been a snag in their efforts: they can’t find Wade to serve him with a subpoena.

Wade was scheduled to testify before the committee on Thursday, but for days, the Judiciary Committee has been unable to locate the Marietta attorney.

As a result, the committee has enlisted the help of the U.S. Marshals to track him down.

Russell Dye, a spokesperson for the committee, expressed frustration over the situation, noting that serving subpoenas has rarely required such extraordinary measures.

“The Judiciary Committee has served over 100 subpoenas this Congress. We have done so, for the most part, without controversy or the need to use the U.S. Marshals,” Dye said. “Nathan Wade’s evasion of service is extremely unusual and will require the Committee to spend U.S. tax dollars to locate him.”

The situation has drawn attention from prominent Republicans, including Rep. Jim Jordan, who asked pointedly, “Where’s Nathan Wade?” Fox News host Jesse Watters even aired a segment discussing the search for Wade on Wednesday night.

Interestingly, Wade’s absence comes after a recent incident in which he appeared alongside Fani Willis during a traffic stop involving her daughter.

At the end of August, Willis’s daughter was pulled over by police for allegedly using a cell phone while driving.

When officers discovered she was driving on a suspended license, she was taken into custody.

Wade’s presence during this incident raised eyebrows, particularly because both he and Willis had previously testified that their relationship had ended.

Despite the Judiciary Committee’s frustration and the deployment of U.S. Marshals, Wade was reportedly found.

Georgia legal analyst and Townhall columnist Phil Holloway announced via Twitter that Wade had been located, citing unnamed sources.

Holloway also posted a letter from the committee addressed to Wade, outlining his apparent avoidance of testifying.

While it appears Wade may have dodged his initial scheduled testimony, the Judiciary Committee has not yet officially confirmed whether Wade has been served.

If he is eventually brought in to testify, it could spell trouble for Willis.

The committee is expected to grill Wade about his relationship with Willis and its possible implications for the Georgia election case.

One key question is whether their current relationship matches their previous sworn testimony about having broken up.

As the investigation unfolds, this development promises to add another layer of intrigue to the case.

Many are eager to see how Wade’s testimony could impact the ongoing scrutiny of Fani Willis and her prosecution of Donald Trump.

For now, all eyes are on the next steps, with the anticipation that things could get heated once Wade takes the stand.
