A federal judge has agreed to delay Hunter Biden’s sentencing on three felony gun charges until December 4. Originally convicted in June, Hunter Biden faces up to 25 years in prison for illegally purchasing a firearm while using drugs.

He was indicted last September in a Delaware court for possessing the firearm while under the influence of drugs, an offense linked to events in 2018, including a drug deal and subsequent crack binge.

Prosecutors demonstrated that Hunter was actively using crack cocaine when he purchased the gun on October 12, 2018. Text messages obtained from that time showed Hunter coordinating a drug deal the day after purchasing the firearm.

In one exchange with Hallie Biden, Hunter discussed a planned meeting with a dealer nicknamed “Mookie” at a 7-Eleven in Wilmington, Delaware.

His substance abuse escalated in the days following the illegal purchase, with reports of him passing out in his car during a crack-smoking episode.

Despite the evidence presented by Special Counsel David Weiss, Hunter Biden’s legal team successfully petitioned for a delay in sentencing.

Hunter’s attorneys requested the postponement of his November 13 court date, citing scheduling conflicts with other ongoing legal matters involving Biden.

U.S. District Judge Maryellen Noreika agreed to push back the sentencing to early December, despite opposition from Weiss.

Hunter Biden’s legal troubles have attracted significant public and media attention, given his role as the son of President Joe Biden.

His legal issues extend beyond the gun charges, as he faces other ongoing investigations. However, the gun case marks the first criminal conviction for Hunter Biden in connection with his well-documented personal struggles, including substance abuse and questionable business dealings.

The gun charges stem from Biden’s false statement on a federal firearm purchase form, in which he failed to disclose his illegal drug use.

Prosecutors highlighted that Biden, a habitual drug user at the time, was aware of the legal implications of buying a gun while using narcotics. Hunter’s history of drug abuse, and the fact that he purchased the firearm while engaging in illicit drug activities, were central to the prosecution’s case.

Special Counsel Weiss, who has been involved in multiple investigations related to Hunter Biden, opposed the delay in sentencing.

Weiss argued that there was no valid reason to further postpone the case, which has already been subject to significant scrutiny and delays. However, the court sided with Biden’s defense team, setting the new sentencing date for December.

Hunter Biden’s legal saga has become a contentious issue, drawing criticism from political opponents who argue that he is receiving preferential treatment due to his father’s position.

The gun charges are part of a broader investigation into Hunter’s personal and professional conduct, including allegations related to tax fraud and foreign business dealings.

As the sentencing approaches, the case continues to generate debate over the handling of the charges, the legal consequences Biden faces, and the broader implications for the Biden family.

With his sentencing scheduled for after the 2024 presidential election, the case remains a politically charged topic amid ongoing legal and public scrutiny.

  • Only Communist Democrats get the easy way, any normal American would have the book thrown at them and sentenced a long time ago.
I for one am sick and tired of Democrats who never get charged for any and all crimes they commit.
    Democrats slogan is;
Rules for thee, not for me.!
Fu** all of you Communist Bastards.

    • True, but with sentencing pushed back this time and hopefully again until after the inauguration, there is less of a chance of him being pardoned, I would think.

    • Michael, so true. And they are the party of “do as I say and not as I do;” they write their own ticket always in favor of self, and the rest can go to hell and burn.

  • Can you imagine just for one second if this was Trump’s kid? This would be #1 news topic every day with had left fake news MSM.

  • So, if they postpone Hunter’s sentencing until after the election, they should postpone anything further they are trying to do to Trump, until after the election. But really, there is no reason to postpone Hunter’s sentencing except that it will hurt the Democrat party because it adds just one MORE piece of Biden/Democrat dirt to their presidential run. Pictures of Hunter in jail before the election would definitely work in Trumps favor!!!
