In a startling interview with The New York Post, Dr. Joseph Meyn, an eyewitness to the first assassination attempt on Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, claimed that both the Secret Service and FBI downplayed the gravity of the situation. Meyn alleged that federal agents not only failed to acknowledge a bullet had hit Trump but also minimized the overall threat, including the death of a Trump supporter during the rally.

Meyn recounted how one Secret Service agent, described as condescending and dismissive, contradicted his claim that a bullet had grazed Trump. The FBI agent, according to Meyn, argued that Trump had not been shot but had instead hit his head on the podium when Secret Service agents tackled him to the ground. Meyn, who insisted that he saw the bullet strike the former president, described the interaction as a “ridiculous debate.”

Meyn’s testimony sheds light on an incident that federal authorities have treated with a level of restraint that some, including Dr. Ronny Jackson, the former White House physician, have found troubling. According to Meyn, during the rally, he saw Trump turn his head as a bullet grazed the top of his right ear. “I saw some blood and tissue squirt out into the ether,” Meyn said, yet the agent he spoke with repeatedly dismissed his account. The agent reportedly insisted that Trump hadn’t been shot and attributed the injury to Trump hitting his head on the podium during the scramble after shots were fired.

Meyn, however, claimed to have a photographic memory and video evidence of the event, which left no doubt in his mind that the former president had been struck by a bullet. His account was further corroborated by Dr. Ronny Jackson, who treated Trump after the incident and confirmed that Trump’s injury was consistent with a gunshot wound.

The incident occurred during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, as Trump addressed a crowd of supporters. In total, eight shots were fired before the gunman was neutralized. Despite the gravity of the situation, FBI Director Christopher Wray, during a Congressional hearing in late July, downplayed the assassination attempt, suggesting that the injury may have been caused by shrapnel rather than a bullet. Wray’s remarks sparked backlash, especially from Dr. Jackson, who insisted that Wray’s account was incorrect.

Dr. Jackson, a Texas Representative and former Navy combat physician, was overseeing Trump’s recovery. He issued a statement vehemently disputing Wray’s claims, stating that there was “absolutely no evidence” that shrapnel or glass had caused Trump’s injury. Instead, Jackson confirmed that the former president had been struck by a bullet, fired from a high-powered rifle at relatively close range.

Jackson’s detailed assessment painted a clear picture of the event. He reviewed Trump’s medical records from Butler Memorial Hospital, where the former president had been treated for a “gunshot wound to the right ear.” Drawing from his extensive experience treating gunshot wounds in both combat and emergency settings, Jackson concluded that the wound was unequivocally caused by a bullet.

“The would-be assassin fired multiple rounds, with one bullet striking President Trump,” Jackson wrote. He criticized Director Wray for sowing confusion and suggested that Congress needed to correct the public record to reflect the true nature of the injury.

Meyn’s account of the event aligns with Jackson’s medical findings, challenging the FBI’s official narrative. According to Meyn, the entire incident was handled poorly by federal authorities. He criticized the Secret Service for their rude and dismissive attitude and the FBI for downplaying the gravity of the situation. The fact that eight shots were fired at a sitting president before the gunman was neutralized has raised questions about the effectiveness of security protocols at the rally.

The tension surrounding the incident only escalated after Wray’s testimony before Congress, where he suggested that “there’s some question about whether or not it’s a bullet or shrapnel” that struck Trump. These remarks led to further skepticism among Trump’s supporters, who viewed the FBI’s response as another example of the agency’s reluctance to protect or defend the former president.

Trump himself has remained defiant in the wake of the assassination attempt. According to reports, he raised his fist in defiance while blood ran down his face, shouting “Fight! Fight! Fight!”—a moment that has already become iconic among his supporters.

As for the shooter, details remain sparse, but what is known is that he managed to fire multiple rounds before being taken down by security. The FBI has yet to provide a comprehensive public statement about the individual’s motives or whether additional threats were involved.

The controversy over the Butler rally assassination attempt continues to unfold, with many calling for a deeper investigation into how the situation was handled and why federal authorities seemed so eager to downplay the seriousness of the event. As Dr. Jackson’s statement and Meyn’s eyewitness testimony make clear, there are still many unanswered questions regarding what happened that day and why the FBI has been reluctant to acknowledge the full extent of the threat against Donald Trump.

The ongoing debate over the incident underscores the broader tensions between Trump’s supporters and federal law enforcement agencies, with many arguing that the former president is being unfairly treated by institutions that should be protecting him. As the 2024 election approaches, this incident could further inflame those tensions, with both sides calling for transparency and accountability.

  • FBI and Secret Service actions since assassination attempt have been very suspicious. If I had been part of the attempt, I’d be acting the same! This whole investigation smells bad and looks like an exercise in foot dragging and obfuscation. JFK investigation anyone? The first thing Trump has to do is fire all top level staff and bring in new management of his security staff. Perhaps some real law enforcement people with security experience, not Home Ec majors.

    • don, you’re right on all counts in your rational and sensible assessment. This excerpt; “Wray’s testimony before Congress, where he suggested that “there’s some question about whether or not it’s a bullet or shrapnel” that struck Trump,” is something I would say is mind boggling coming from no less the “director” of the FBI; if not for the current political landscape in Washington and the absolute “Weaponization” of the DOJ that has occurred prior to and more rabidly since Biden was installed as president. Wray’s statement is beyond buffoonery and into the realm of the “unimaginable” akin to Twilight Zone material, because it’s something I would expect “an amateur” to try and pull off as a “downplaying cover” of such an incident witnessed live by millions of eyes around the globe!
Perhaps these people getting away with so much lying and treachery for so long now believe they’re invincible; but God Almighty is going to prove them all wrong! Amen.

  • This drawn out case of a worldwide witnessed assassination attempt on a former US President has all “the markings of and is the epitome of an inside hit job” by some very vile evil people in high places within the US Government administrative and DOJ levels. I have my suspicions of who a few of them are as “it is obviously a conspiracy” no doubt involving many, but will ere to allow “time to tell” for now before I state my opinion, although I will say; that whomever is behind this if caught and prosecuted indeed I pray is the case sooner rather than later, should be put to death as the absolutely appropriate punishment for a crime of this magnitude being orchestrated by individuals whether they be right in the government currently or formerly.
    God bless.

  • BREAKING UPDATE: Someone Frequently Visited Thomas Matthew Crooks at Home and Work Before His Attempted Assassination of TrumpHunter FieldingJuly 22, 2024

    …
According to the Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project: “We found the assassin’s connections through our in-depth analysis of mobile ad data to track movements of Crooks and his associates.”“To do this, we tracked devices that regularly visited both Crooks’s home and place of work and followed them,” the Oversight Project said.A regular visitor to Crooks’ home and workplace was also tracked to a building in Washington, D.C., located in Gallery Place
    ….
“This is in the same vicinity of an FBI office on June 26, 2023,” the Oversight Project claimed.
    …
    Who’s device is this?

    • CharlieSeattle; very interesting development. I said Crooks was a patsy or in the least an expendable asset within a much larger conspiracy right in the DC Power Hub.

Let’s pray the rats start selling each other out and they’re all exposed.

  • And exactly where would shrapnel have come from? The bullet has to hit something first for there to be shrapnel for crikies sake!!!!

  • When Wray said that, I then knew he is part of the Swamp rats with the DOJ”s Garland. They will soon depart I hope. What a bunch of road apples.

  • Carl; sure not from Corey Comperatore’s skull, yes you see my point of how Rude and the insulting Absurdity of an FBI Director making such a statement! He and the whole system disgust me and I mean all the Major News Media and the Government who all “play patty-cakes” and “bullshit to high heaven” while they’re all “so down and dirty” along with being “the most immoral, vile and evil people to have ever been American Citizens;” and in very crucially important positions to boot!

Yes here we are after such a horrendous event where sniper high powered rifle projectiles were whizzing through the air in an attack upon a former US President! And of course we now know one of them miraculously missed Trump’s head hitting his ear; but poor Corey the good man that he was, he wasn’t so fortunate being killed by another of them, along with two other rally attendees being gravely wounded! God rest Corey’s soul and bless the wounded. Amen.

The strange thing is America was on the right track most of the time going back over the years, but even back in the late 1950’s the idea came into being that American’s could be dangerously arrogant which was depicted in a novel at the time when it coined the phrase “The Ugly American.”

“The phrase ugly, or Ugly, American denotes an American who behaves offensively abroad.”

“It refers to The Ugly American (New York: W. W. Norton & Co., 1958), a political novel co-written by:
    – William Julius Lederer (1912-2009), naval officer and special assistant to Admiral Felix Stump, commander of military forces in the Pacific,
    – Eugene Leonard Burdick (1918-65), professor of political theory at the University of California.

This novel denounced the failures of the U.S. Foreign Service in Southeast Asia. However, the “Ugly American” of the title, Homer Atkins, was not one of the State Department’s career men that the authors exposed: so called because of his physical appearance, he in fact epitomized the dedicated persons that Lederer and Burdick advocated for the Foreign Service.

This was detailed by Special Press Correspondent Van Allen Bradley in his review of the novel, More About ‘The Ugly American’, published in the Binghamton Press (Binghamton, New York) of Sunday 16th November 1958—“cooky pusher” designates a diplomat devoting more attention to protocol or social engagements than to his work: Chicago—A book you are going to hear a lot about this fall is “The Ugly American” (Norton $3.75), in which two authors who have spent considerable time in Southeast Asia give the State Department’s career men a rough going over.
Their complaint, which I have heard voiced elsewhere by newsmen and others who observe the world scene, is that most of the men and women who represent the United States as diplomats, particularly in Southeast Asia, are incompetent cooky pushers.
Loosely speaking, the collection of sketches and incidents with which they bolster their case is a novel. The authors tell us that most of the events they delineate have actually occurred.
The locale is the mythical country of Sarkhan, where the American ambassador, one Louis Sears, a boob if there ever was one, is pitted against a suave and ably schooled Russian ambassador.
Sears dislikes the people and the job he is supposed to do. His Russian counterpart has learned the Sarkhanese language and made the interests of the people his own.
It is this sort of thing, the authors believe, that is making it possible for the Soviets to take over Asia in bloodless conquest.
Their answer would be to kick out the deadheads and reupholster our whole foreign service with “well-trained professionals who are dedicated to their jobs and who will work in the interest of the native people. Only in this way, they imply, can we “save” Asia from the Communists.” ://wordhistories.net/2019/09/09/ugly-american/

My reason for bringing this out is that back then some good true Americans were dedicated to stopping the spread of evil Communism pushing rapidly around the Globe, and so much blood was shed in South East Asia to supposedly prevent that from happening, where actually many good patriotic American soldiers fought valiantly to stop it. But all for naught, because those devious, calculating Commies along with America’s screwed up, upper political class, the Pelosi’s, Schumer’s, Biden’s and McConnell types of that upper echelon where working against America all along and were going to sell out for a price (American Arrogance, Greed and Vanity which many of those higher ups are infected with) leaving the American Patriotic Citizens “high and dry” and in a “Deadly Quagmire” which is where we are right now!

Look around, America is now really UGLY and SCREWED, BLUED and TATTOOED! So yes, those other ugly adversaries the Communists, they won “after all was said and done;” because, they found our weakness or “Achilles Heel” and took full advantage of it and US! They’re not only in South East Asia, but they got the “Crème-Le-Crème” and are now here in America! They’ve infiltrated our system and culture on all levels and are turning the page!

A new novel that I propose; The Stupid Arrogant American.

I do believe in miracles and that there is always hope; so it will now take a colossal amount of both to pull out of this downward spiral without a total revolution.

  • I have thought from the beginning that the democratic government was behind this, and now we watch them playing games with all the lives that we in the hurricans.

    • merkyann; so true and I wouldn’t put it past them along with their globalist new world order partners helping storms become monsters with all the Climate Geo-Engineering going on; pure evil behind all of this and especially anything the Democrat Marxist’s have their hands in. If this isn’t all stopped very soon the whole bottom is going to fall out and destroy our nation and we Citizens with it!

    • CharlieSeattle; and this is our FBI and DOJ, so unbelievable that this Nation of ours has fallen and deteriorated to this level and degree of debauchery!

  • The Secret Service was complicit in the assassination attempt.

The Secret Service was complicit in the assassination attempt.

  • As usual, when it comes to anything serious like this near assassination attempt of President Trump, the FBI and Secret Service are strikingly ignorant. They initially refused to believe that President Trump was even struck by a bullet. And this is the kind of FBI and Secret Service that we want???? No I don’t think so!

    • Mel Friedman; I agree and the whole situation is beyond disgusting and putrid! Our former Great Constitutional Republic has sunken to the level of some Oligarchy shit-hole.
