Congressional Dems’ Announcement About What They Plan to Do to Demonize ICE Raids Is Plain Evil
I truly think Democrats have lost their minds. They funnel everything through their hatred of President Donald Trump and a craving for power, no matter who gets hurt along the way.
They just announced something that goes beyond political theater and straight into danger. What Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA) unveiled, with Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass at his side, crosses a line into purposeful law enforcement interference.
“Over the course of the next couple of weeks, the Oversight Committee will be launching on their website a master ICE-tracker,” Garcia said. “We’re going to essentially be tracking every single instance that we can verify that the community will send us information on.” Garcia is the ranking member on the House Oversight Committee.
This tracker isn’t innocent transparency; it’s a map that invites violence. Law enforcement officers already face threats and ambushes; giving organized crime and hostile actors a single, curated resource to target agents is reckless.
The demonization of ICE has had violent consequences. Attacks on ICE facilities have occurred, including the shooting at the Dallas ICE facility and a plotted ambush in Alvarado, Texas, showing how rhetoric can translate into real-world harm.
Three detainees were shot and two died during the Dallas attack, and a Texas police officer was injured during the Alvarado incident. Those are not abstract statistics; they are lives, broken families, and communities traumatized by violence tied to the very environment this tracker would worsen.
There are only a couple of reasons for Democrats to pursue this, as Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) pointed out on X. Either they are intentionally aiding people who would attack law enforcement, or they are dangerously naive about the consequences of their actions.
White House Deputy Press Secretary Abigail Jackson noted the Dallas shooter used an ICE tracking app and asked, “What are the Democrats trying to do here?” That question is the right one to ask out loud given the stakes.
Attorney General Pam Bondi rightly condemned the plan, warning it endangers agents and promising prosecution for attacks on law enforcement. Those are necessary reminders that the Justice Department must protect officers from politics-driven targeting.
@TheJusticeDept has ZERO tolerance for violence against law enforcement — we will prosecute any person who physically assaults our agents.
But rhetoric from some Democrats keeps moving left of common sense, embracing policies that obstruct enforcement and embolden cartels. When political theater feeds criminal networks, American safety takes a back seat to ideological point-scoring.
Publishing a master tracker under the guise of “oversight” looks like a public service but functions as a hazard map. If cartels and hitmen can exploit it, agents, officers, and even detainees will pay the price for Washington posturing.
This is what Democrats are choosing to focus on: a scheme that helps illegal actors evade and fight ICE instead of practical priorities like rebuilding after fires, reopening the government, or addressing real local needs. That misplacement of priorities matters to everyday voters.
Conscience and obligations to public safety should stop this effort immediately. If leaders refuse to retract a tool that makes our law enforcement less safe, they should at least be investigated and held accountable for the foreseeable fallout.
Editor’s Note: The Schumer Shutdown is here. Rather than put the American people first, Chuck Schumer and the radical Democrats forced a government shutdown for healthcare for illegals. They own this.
