The Department of Homeland Security announced the arrests of more than a dozen foreign nationals, including illegal aliens, accused of voting illegally in U.S. elections. Officials say many of those arrested also carry criminal records spanning assault, domestic violence, drug trafficking, burglary and DUI offenses.
DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin said Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents had made the arrests as part of a broader effort against non-citizen voting.
“The patriots of Immigration and Customs Enforcement have arrested dozens of non-citizens who illegally voted in American elections,” Mullin said. “Some of them have criminal histories that include assault with a dangerous weapon, domestic violence, drug trafficking, burglary, and driving under the influence.”
Among those named is Juan Carlos Matute-Hernandez of Honduras, accused of voting in the 2026 election and previously arrested on driving offenses.
DHS identified the following additional individuals as having been arrested for election-related crimes:

DHS officials said the arrests are part of a nationwide effort under President Donald Trump targeting election fraud and voting by foreign nationals.
“The Trump Administration will not allow illegal aliens to steal the votes of hardworking American citizens,” Mullin said. “American elections are for Americans only.”
The individuals named span elections dating back to 1992 and up through the 2026 cycle, according to DHS.
