Liberal prosecutors have decided that the “real victims” of crime are the criminals. Criminals are just “poor misunderstood souls.” If we’d only “sympathize with the crooks,” they’d see the error in their ways. By being kinder and gentler with career criminals, they’ll “turn over a new leaf.”
Anyone with much experience in the U.S. justice system can see what an ignorant idea this truly is. Some criminals may warrant attempts to reform them. However, there are bad people who couldn’t care less how many chances they’re given.
They like cheating and stealing. That’s the way they live. The progressive liberal ideology, a belief which includes no bail, lesser sentences for all crimes, and more lenient guidelines, is failing miserably. What these weak and spineless policies are doing is to embolden criminals.
Thieves across the country are waltzing into stores and walking out with bags of merchandise. Despite knowing that there are surveillance cameras watching every move, they steal anyhow. These crooks know that they will be out of jail in minutes, if they’re even arrested at all.
The vast majority will completely avoid prosecution. The recent spike in all types of crime is because criminals don’t believe they’ll face consequences. If bad people aren’t going to be punished for doing bad things, you can bet they’re going to do more bad things.
It doesn’t take a PhD in psychology to figure this out. New York City is a place where prosecutors are woefully lax on crime. Over the last two years, New York City has seen a spike in all types of violent crimes. Robbery is at or near the top of this list.
People are getting robbed more often. Many of these robberies happen in broad daylight. However, a recent heist might top the list for brazenness. Lamor Whitehead is a bishop in Brooklyn, New York.
Some might remember in May when Whitehead made the national news. The flashy bishop tried to negotiate the surrender of an accused subway shooter. His efforts failed, but the suspect was arrested anyhow. Whitehead has a penchant for the flashy. He drives a Rolls-Royce.
On Sunday, Whitehead was in the middle of a live-stream service. As he preached to his congregation, something rather bizarre happened. Whitehead was robbed. Just after 11:00 a.m., armed robbers burst into the Leaders of Tomorrow International Ministries in Canarsie.
Whitehead stopped preaching and dropped to his hands and knees. The armed, masked crooks proceeded to relieve Whitehead of some highly priced personal belongings. Police estimate that the thieves got away with over $400,000 worth of valuables.
They took thousands of dollars’ worth of jewelry from Whitehead. The robbers also took jewelry from Whitehead’s wife. Churchgoers may have been robbed as well. Whitehead wore a flashy maroon suit with a gold-trimmed collar and sleeve cuffs.
Police report he was wearing a long gold chain and a large ring on each finger. Each of these items was taken. Eyewitnesses said the thieves took off east on Avenue D. No one deserves to have their personal belongings ripped off of their neck and fingers.
But some may chuckle at the notion of Bishop Lamor Whitehead getting robbed. As a so-called “man of God,” Whitehead flaunts his affluence with a rather hypocritical air. He showed up in a Rolls-Royce when he tried to negotiate the hostage release on the New York subway.
But “who got robbed and what got stolen” isn’t the story here. The story is about the new level of dangerous brazenness exhibited by criminals. This isn’t relegated to New York City. It’s happening all across the nation.
Liberal policies are making our streets increasingly dangerous. Bishop Lamor Whitehead should feel lucky that he only got robbed. Armed robbers were clearly prepared for an escalation of the situation. These radical, progressive policies will get people killed. In fact, they already are.

How many believe this was just a scheme to get the insurance money? What kind of preacher wears all that jewelry? Seems like all that money that his parishioners give to him for charitable reasons, goes into his pocket.
You get what you vote for.
