You know a debate is a clown show when it becomes necessary to fact check the moderator. Both Wallace and Biden claimed that Trump called the neo-Nazis in Charlottesville, “very fine people.” Of course, this has been debunked time after time. But no Democrat can resist telling a lie when the truth does them no good.

President Trump said several times that white supremacists and neo-Nazis were bad people. Wallace knows this but being a Democrat, he will lie to aid the party.

Fact check:

President Trump repeatedly condemned the neo-Nazis in Charlottesville in August 2017 — “totally.”

Moreover, the neo-Nazis were not the only violent group in Charlottesville. The “clash” was not with those “standing against” hate peacefully, but with violent, black-clad Antifa extremists.

As to “very fine people,” Trump had been referring to peaceful protests both for and against the removal of a statue of Confederate General Robert E. Lee.

He completely condemned the extremists — as the timeline and transcript confirm:

  • Aug. 12, 2017: Trump condemned “violence “on many sides” in Charlottesville, after neo-Nazi and Antifa clashes
  • Aug. 14, 2017: Trump condemned “neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and other hate groups” in White House statement
  • Aug. 15, 2017: Trump condemned neo-Nazis “totally,” praised non-violent protesters “on both sides” of statue debate.

The thing that stands out is that it wasn’t Joe Biden that brought up the Charlottesville fake news, it was Wallace. This is not something that a moderator should be doing. Trump was outnumbered in the debate 2 to 1.

Here is what Trump said about Charlottesville:

“Racism is evil,” Trump stated Monday, adding:

And those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs, including KKK, Neo-Nazis, White Supremacists, and other hate groups are repugnant to everything we hold dear as Americans. Those who spread violence in the name of bigotry strike at the very core of America.

A lie can travel around the world before the truth can cross the street. The Democrats see the end coming and they are desperate to do everything in their power to try to stop it. Biden is as exciting as last months TV Guide. And every bit as useful.
