On Thursday, we reported that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s January 6 Commission is not designed to get to the bottom of what happened that day at the nation’s Capitol building, but rather, to help the Democrats win the 2022 midterm elections by continually calling the riot that ensued an “insurrection” and hoping to keep that narrative alive until the midterms. From now until then they are going to subpoena every conservative influencer and Republican donor who was at the Capitol, if they participated in the riot or not, and even people of influence who may have posted online that they supported former President Donald Trump’s rally that day to protest what everyone there believed what the stealing of the 2020 election.
What happened on January 6 at the Capitol was not an insurrection. It was a riot that never should have happened, but no one there sought to take over the powers of government. There were no hordes of armed rioters wanting to kill members of Congress. There were a lot of angry Trump supporters who were tired of being insulted daily for over four years, who were tired of being lied to and gaslighted by Democrats and their sycophants in the news media about Donald Trump and they really believed that the election was stolen from them because they saw and heard evidence that was compelling, evidence that the mainstream media completely blocked out and social media tech tyrants censored. They wanted the members of Congress to listen to them because they clearly were not.
Now we have to hear the same Democrats and their media buddies gaslight America again. They are repeating a talking point as they often do, this time that the January 6 riot was the worst security breach at the Capitol since the War of 1812. You can tell that they all repeated the approved talking point because they all referred to the War of 1812. They all repeated that line which proves they all must have failed History.
Representative Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) said on MSNBC, “This was the most violent and destructive assault on the Capitol, breaching of the Capitol since the War of 1812.”
Joy Reid, the racist lady on MSNBC said, “The US Capitol suffered its worst security breach since the War of 1812.”
A dopey-looking Democrat guy on Don Lemon’s CNN show said, “Nobody’s attacked Congress since 1812.”
NBC’s Kasie Hunt reported, ” It was the worst attack on the Capitol since the War of 1812.”
And it goes on and on and on. Give us a break already. Enough with the lies. The worst attack since 1812? Nobody has attacked Congress since 1812?
On July 24, 1998, two Capitol police officers were shot and killed. Officer Jacob J. Chestnut, Jr., and Detective John M. Gibson, died in the line of duty. An armed lunatic stormed past a US Capitol security checkpoint, got into the Capitol, and went on a shooting spree. During the gunfire back and forth a tourist was hit. The lunatic was going after Republican House Whip Tom Delay’s offices.
Representative Jayapal should know this story because it’s listed on the House’s website at history.house.gov. Talk about being a glittering jewel of colossal ignorance.
Is Joy Reid going to continue to claim that January 6 was the worst security breach since the War of 1812?
How do you think the families of the two dead officers are going to feel when they hear these leftist nitwits throw out hyperbolic lies like that?
On November 7, 1983, a thunderous explosion tore through the second floor of the Capitol’s north wing just outside the Senate when a bomb went off. Minutes before the explosion, someone called the Capitol switchboard claiming to represent the “Armed Resistance Unit” and warned that a bomb had been placed near the chamber in retaliation for recent US military involvement in Grenada and Lebanon. Luckily, the Senate that was scheduled to work late that night decided to leave about an hour or so before the bomb detonated. That was a big deal, and it shut down government business for some time.
You would think NBC’s Kasie Hunt would have done a five-second Google search to learn that the Senate bombing story is listed on the Senate’s website!
None of the clowns on the left selling you this narrative of January 6 was the worst security breach since 1812 checked to see if what they were feeding the American public was true.
On March 1, 1954, while House members gathered on the House floor for an upcoming vote, three men and one woman entered the visitor’s gallery above the House chamber and silently took their seats. All four were members of the Puerto Rican Nationalist Party, a terrorist group, and only hours earlier had traveled from New York City to Washington, DC.
All four Puerto Rican terrorists entered the galley, armed with handguns. The Capitol had very few security protocols back then because no one figured scumbags would start shooting the place up.
At 2:30 in the afternoon, all four unfurled a Puerto Rican flag and opened fire on the House floor. Five Congressmen were shot and wounded.
Again, this horrific story is on the House’s government website at history.house.gov. It would have taken less time to Google it than it would take Joy Reid to call you a racist.
On November 1, 1950, two Puerto Rican nationalists – read terrorists – traveled from New York to Washington, DC to assassinate President Harry S Truman.
The president was staying across the street from the White House in the Blair House. The White House was going through renovations.
Around 2 pm, Truman retired to his suite on the second floor of the Blair House to take his customary afternoon nap. About 15 minutes after Truman started his afternoon sleep, Oscar Collazo and Griselio Torresola exited their cab at 15th street. They walked past and checked out the front of Blair House. There were four men standing outside the building’s front door, which was behind two guard booths.
They both opened fire on Secret Service agents and Agent Leslie Coffelt took three rounds in the chest, becoming the first and only Secret Service agent who died protecting the president from an assassination attempt. One of the killers was taken down, but the other continued to fire at agents, wounding several. Before he died, Agent Coffelt aimed his pistol at the second terrorist’s head and fired, killing him instantly. Agent Coffelt would go down in Secret Service history as a hero.
That story is in the national archives at archives.gov and was easily searchable, yet none of the leftists who are lying to you about January 6 cared enough to do the research.
On July 2, 1915, a bomb with three sticks of dynamite was set off in the Senate that was planted by a former professor of German at Harvard University, Erich Muenter. He originally tried to place the sticks of dynamite inside the Senate room, but the doors were locked, so instead, he went into the Senate Reception room and placed the bomb under the Senate’s telephone switchboard. At 20 minutes before midnight, an explosion rocked the Capitol. Luckily no one was hurt at that late hour but the damage was devastating.
This bombing of the Senate is also listed right on the Senate’s website at senate.gov.
All of these things were worse than what happened on January 6. Sure, they had to clean up a mess that was made, but a few hours later the Congress was back in business and they certified the election.
The Democrats at the Fake News media have all come out recently telling you that January 6 was the worst attack on the Capitol since 1812. I just listed five incidents that would make January 6 look like a picnic if it weren’t for the fact that a 35-year-old unarmed female Air Force veteran was shot and killed by a Capitol police officer on January 6 when she posed no threat and was surrounded by police at the time.
The usual suspects on the Left are gaslighting you because they want to use January 6 as a cudgel to gain as much power as they can take.
