Things are starting to look worse for Joe Biden in regard to the classified documents that were recently discovered because just this week, Joe Biden’s aides uncovered a new batch of classified documents stored in a separate location from his private Washington, D.C., office, where similar papers were discovered last year.

The discovery came about after a personal attorney for Biden found 10 classified documents in the president’s private office at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement on November 2nd, days before the midterm elections. The documents were promptly turned over to the National Archives, prompting Biden aides to begin searching other locations associated with the President for additional documentation.

It is unknown exactly where these extra documents were found, when they were found, what classification level they are, or what information they contain. However, it is speculated that they may have been part of a larger collection of boxes of documents belonging to Biden during his time as Vice President which had not been previously handed over.

The initial batch of classified documents was said to contain U.S intelligence memos and briefing materials about Iran, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom, though details about this information remain largely undisclosed. The incident has attracted attention from politicians such as House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, who commented on Tuesday that “the only person that has the constitutional ability to declassify any documents is the president of the United States” bringing up former President Trump’s ongoing legal battle involving alleged classified documents kept at his Mar-a-Lago resort after leaving office in January 2021. Similarly, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer sent requests for information regarding Biden’s classified materials to The National Archive earlier this week.

This news comes in light of increasing controversy surrounding what has been described by some as an “ethics crisis” within current White House administration due to their handling of confidential paperwork and reports, with many calling into question their commitment to protecting sensitive information while serving in public office.
