Bo Bryan, son of country singer Luke Bryan, announced Sunday that he has committed to play quarterback for Kirby Smart’s Georgia Bulldogs, choosing the program less than a week after receiving an official offer.
“It meant everything to me and a dream come true when I got that offer,” Bo Bryan told USA Today. “I always knew that if I ever got the offer, then that’s where I was going to be.”
Bo Bryan also held offers from East Tennessee State, North Alabama, UT Martin and Austin Peay, among other programs, before settling on Georgia.
ESPN ranks him the No. 107 overall pocket passer in the 2027 recruiting class, while 247Sports lists him as the No. 143 quarterback prospect in that class.
Bo Bryan plays for Battle Ground Academy in Tennessee, which won the II-AA state title in 2025. He served as a backup last season before taking over as starter this fall during his senior year, throwing for 2,006 yards with 30 touchdowns and three interceptions across eight games before a season-ending injury earlier this month.
Bo Bryan has long been a Georgia fan, a loyalty he shares with his father, and has made multiple trips to Athens over the years.
A House Divided on Expertise
In an August interview with The Tennessean, Bo Bryan joked about the gap between his father’s musical knowledge and his football knowledge.
“He’ll sit in there during meetings with the coaches and we’re talking football,” Bo Bryan said. “And we’ll walk out and he’ll be like, ‘Did you know what they were talking about?’ I’ll be like, ‘Yeah, dude. Did you?’ And he’s like, ‘Heck, no.'”
