A family vacationing at Walt Disney World in Orlando over Halloween week can now expect to pay more for lodging alone than a family touring Spain, Greece or Italy for the same seven nights, according to a new study from vacation rental marketplace FloridaRentals.com.
The analysis, which drew on Disney’s own published pricing and data from Booking.com, found that a family of four staying on-site at Walt Disney World from Oct. 25 through Nov. 1, 2026, pays an average of $4,924 for the week. That figure covers lodging only, not park tickets, food or the Halloween event itself.
By comparison, a week-long trip to Spain for a family of four averages $1,710, about 65% less than the Disney stay. A week in Greece runs $2,806, roughly 43% cheaper, while a week in Italy averages $3,768, about 23% less than Disney’s on-site rate.
The gap widens at Disney’s premium properties. The study found last-minute Halloween-week bookings at the Beach Club Resort reaching $9,879.30 for seven nights. Even Disney’s cheapest listed on-site option, the Coronado Springs Resort, still runs $2,159 for the week.
The researchers also compared Halloween pricing to a calmer season, finding that the same seven-night, on-site stay for four averages $4,064 in May 2027. That means the Halloween-week rate carries a 21% markup over spring pricing for an identical trip.
