Kevin Bacon says a FedEx box of decades-old clothing he shipped to his filming location in Ireland, New York, instead spent weeks bouncing between France, Germany and Israel before getting stuck just miles from him.

Actor Kevin Bacon says a FedEx package containing decades-old clothing has spent weeks crisscrossing Europe and the Middle East without ever reaching him, despite his filming location in Ireland, New York, being its intended destination.

Bacon, 68, posted a video appeal asking his followers for help tracking down the box, which he shipped from upstate New York on September 26.

“Hey everybody, it’s me. I’m over here, I’m working in Ireland,” Bacon said. “I wanted to pack light, so I decided to ship some old clothes over here to Ireland. I don’t buy a lot of clothes. I’ve had these clothes probably since the ’90s.”

He declined to name the shipping company directly, saying only that “it rhymes with BreadX.”

According to Bacon, the package first went to Memphis, then on to France by September 28. By September 29 it had arrived in Germany, and the next day it was shipped not to Ireland but to Israel.

From there, the box bounced repeatedly: back to France on October 3, returned to Israel on October 4, routed through Germany on October 5, and sent back to Israel again on October 6.

“On Oct. 10, that box of old clothes made its way all the way to France, and on Oct. 11 it arrived in the UK, in England,” Bacon said. “Pretty close. Guess what? On Oct. 11, it left the UK and came straight to Ireland, where it has been sitting for five days, and they say they’re unable to deliver it.”

Bacon said he has been unable to reach anyone at the company by phone to resolve the holdup.

“I don’t understand why. It’s just sitting there,” he said. “I can’t get a person the phone. I have not been able to talk to anybody. I know what you’re thinking: Just go buy some more clothes.”

He said the items inside aren’t easily replaced. “I could buy some clothes, but I want these clothes. I’ve had them since the ’90s. These are like … they have a certain sentimental value,” he said, describing the contents as “old boots, old jeans, old hats.”

“It’s starting to get cold here,” Bacon added, noting he wasn’t sure he would ever see the items again.

FedEx has apologized for the mishap and said it is in direct contact with Bacon’s team to deliver the package while it reviews what went wrong. The company did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.
