The Biden administration is set to announce an allocation of $200 million in weapons aid for Ukraine as soon as Tuesday. This is part of the $6.2 billion in funds discovered after a Pentagon accounting error over-valued billions of Ukraine aid.

It’s clear that this money was intended for other purposes, and it’s wrong that the Biden administration is now attempting to dole out these funds without consulting Congress or seeking public approval.

This comes at a time when 55% of Americans oppose further funding for Antony Blinken and Victoria Nuland’s war in Ukraine, according to CNN.

It also shows that the Biden Administration is not serious about putting America first but instead focusing their attention on foreign affairs and military operations abroad which are both costly and dangerous pursuits.

What makes matters worse is their attempt to combine emergency flooding money with another supplemental payment for Ukraine without considering the consequences of such an action.

Not only does this give them more power to spend federal money indiscriminately, but it also puts Congress members in a difficult position where they must decide whether or not they should vote to fund foreign wars while American citizens are suffering from natural disasters here at home.

Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene has been vocal about her opposition to this additional expenditure on foreign wars, taking to Twitter to express her disapproval: “NO MORE MONEY TO UKRAINE!! We have NOT even finished funding our own military with the NDAA and the Biden admin is pulling an accounting scam to send more money to Ukraine! They are beginning to dole out $6.2 billion of funds discovered after a Pentagon accounting error over-valued billions of Ukraine aid… This is WRONG and can NOT happen.”

She later continued with:

They are beginning to dole out $6.2 billion of funds discovered after a Pentagon accounting error over-valued billions of Ukraine aid.

Plus they want Congress to pass another Ukraine supplemental by combining it with emergency flooding money.

This is WRONG and can NOT happen. We should only be funding money to help Americans with disaster relief, not forced to vote to fund Ukraine at the same time!

SEPARATE THE FUNDS because I’m NOT voting to send MORE money to a foreign war to kill MORE people! This is ridiculous!!
As someone who believes in limited government spending, I fully support Representative Taylor Greene’s stance on this issue.

The U.S government should prioritize helping its citizens first before using taxpayer dollars for international affairs abroad – especially when there are no tangible benefits for Americans that come from such endeavors.

Furthermore, Congress should have full autonomy over how federal funds are allocated rather than having decisions made by bureaucrats without any oversight or accountability from elected officials who represent us all
