In Texas, the race for governor has become more heated. Democratic candidate Beto O’Rourke is determined to stop Republican Governor Greg Abbott from winning re-election.

O’Rourke has criticized Abbott constantly, portraying him as a radical, bigot, and racist. O’Rourke also interrupted the governor’s press conference in Uvalde. This was undoubtedly a publicity stunt.

Meanwhile, the Texas Democrat’s tactic doesn’t appear to be working in his favor. To begin with, O’Rourke is still trailing Abbott in every poll that has been conducted in the wake of this Texas governor’s race.

Second, according to Newsmax, the Texas Democrat reportedly had to halt his campaign after contracting a bacterial infection.

Democrat Beto O’Rourke, who is battling incumbent Texas Gov. Greg Abbott for the state’s top office, announced on Sunday that he will be off the campaign trail indefinitely after being diagnosed with a bacterial infection, The Texas Tribune reported.

“While my symptoms have improved, I will be resting at home in El Paso in accordance with the doctors’ recommendations,” O’Rourke wrote in a tweet. “I am sorry to have had to postpone events because of this, but promise to be back on the road with you as soon as I am able.”

O’Rourke added that “after feeling ill on Friday, I went to Methodist Hospital in San Antonio where I was diagnosed with a bacterial infection.”

O’Rourke has made it abundantly clear that he supports open borders, banning guns, COVID-19 mandates, and a number of other measures that many Texans oppose.

In an election where he was already trailing his rival, O’Rourke will inevitably suffer from the time he is forced to spend away from the campaign trail. At this point, Abbott’s reelection as governor of the Lone Star State is all but guaranteed.

  • If Ron were to stay out of the race, it seems that the VP position might be an option?
I know he is no Kamala …..?

  • I expected that everything done illegally would be found out. Lies and cheating is actually a shush shush among the ones who participated. But as life continues people believe what they believe. It is a certain that corrupt peoples get comfortable thinking they are solid and untouchable. Then it happens, someone somewhere who knows about it and are sick n tired of the powerful ugly begins talking. This is when Karma comes to town and cleans house.

  • Bacterial infection? Beto has posted many videos of him eating hands full of dirt, when he wasn’t live streaming 2 hour session in the dentist chair. He has claimed dirt contains essential nutrients for spiritual growth and it brings him into harmony with the earth and the environment.
Must a got hold of some non-organic dirt. Or, maybe eating dirt from a cow pasture wasn’t a good idea.

    • This bird is crazier then Doctor Odds. (What was the Prez thinking when he endorsed that Moslem nut case)

Hey, Anybody else think there may be no infection at all and Bluto wants to have an excuse when he gets flattened like Showbiz Liz did. “I would have won by a landslide if I hadn’t got sick”,,,,,But then brandon won while hiding in his basement.

  • Beto save your money – stay home – you don’t have a chance of beating Abbott – you are not bright enough to carry his brief case

  • He(she*) is still having physical contractions from giving “birth” That, or swelling of his Anus. Either way, I feel sorry for her.
