Tuesday the announcement was made that Democrat candidate for Vice President, Kamala Harris, will grace the cover of ELLE magazine, in an obvious scheme to interest female and minority voters to vote for the Biden/ Harris…. or Harris/ Biden administration, depending upon who you are listening to at the time.
However, that tactic seems somewhat foolish considering Harris’ push for oppressive “gun owner” control upon the very women and minorities who are currently getting gun permits for themselves.
Minority Gun Ownership is surging, accroding to BET.
Twitter promoted the news of Harris’ cover, even though it didn’t get much attention from Twitter users:
Elle Magazine didn’t ask Harris the important questions about the increase in gun ownership for American minorities and women, and whether those Americans, in Harris’ opinion, deserved to have their rights respected to own guns for self-defense.
Paul Bedard for the Washington Examiner reported, “The growth of adults holding permits to carry concealed guns has surged 34% in the past four years and the rush to get one has resulted in long lines as some counties have faced cutbacks due to the coronavirus crisis, according to a new report.
John Lott’s Crime Prevention Research Center revealed that there are 19.48 million permit holders, 820,000 more than in 2019.
He found that women and minorities are leading in the applications. “Permits for women and minorities continue to increase at a much faster rate than for either men or whites,” he said. That finding parallels reports from gun stores that women and minorities are buying weapons and signing up for concealed carry classes at a brisk pace..”
So, do those women and minorities deserve dignity, freedom and equality?
Recall that Harris, during her time as a Presidential candidate in the Democrat Primary debate against Biden, said: “on day one” she would have “executive action” for gun control, which is really about gun owner control.
USA Today reported, in April 2019:
Sen. Kamala Harris vowed Monday to sign executive orders on gun control if she wins the Democratic nomination and defeats President Donald Trump in 2020.
“Upon being elected, I will give the United States Congress 100 days to get their act together and have the courage to pass reasonable gun safety laws. And if they fail to do it, then I will take executive action,” said the California senator when asked about school shootings during a CNN town hall event.
Harris said “conversations take place every night between students and their parents” about why school shootings keep happening.
She said the answer is that politicians failed “to reject a false choice which suggests you’re either in favor of the Second Amendment or you want to take everyone’s guns away.”
Harris is known as a prosecutor who enforced laws on Americans that she does not, herself abide by. Remember when Tulsi Gabbard, then Presidential hopeful, pointed out Harris double standards, in an epic smackdown in a Presidential debate.
“The broken criminal justice system, that unfairly prosecutes Brown and Black people. Harris said she will be a prosecutor President, but I am deeply concerned about this record because she put 1,500 people in prison for marijuana violations and then laughed about it when she was asked if she smoked marijuana, she blocked evidence that would have freed an innocent man from death row, until the courts forced her to do so, she kept people in prison beyond their sentence to use them as cheap labor for the State of California, and she fought to keep cash bail programs in place that impacts poor people in the worst way,” Gabbard said.

So it is questionable how much minorities and women are going to be impressed by an ELLE Cover story, the question is what is Kamala Harris covering up?
