45th President Donald Trump promised full pardons and government apologies to “many” of the January 6 detainees who have been described by many on the right as Joe Biden’s political prisoners.

Trump made the statements earlier today during an appearance on “The Wendy Bell Show”, a conservative radio program.

“I mean full pardons with an apology to many,” Trump told Bell while discussing how a hypothetical Trump administration would respond to January 6 defendants.

While Trump has yet to formally announce whether he will run in 2024, he is widely expected to run for another term in the White House and told Bell that he “will look very, very favorably about full pardons.” He added that, if “I decide to run, and if I win, I will be looking very, very strongly about pardons, full pardons.”

The 45th President also revealed for the first time that he has provided financial support for some of the defendants.

“I met with a number of families, but I met with and am financially supporting people that are incredible,” said Trump. “They were in my office actually two days ago, so they’re very much in my mind.” Trump added, “It’s a disgrace what they’ve done to them. What they’ve done to these people is disgraceful.”

Trump described Biden’s Department of Justice as a “radical left system” and his detained supporters as as mostly “firemen, they’re policemen, they’re people in the military.”

He later added, “We’re working on it very hard, we’re working with legal.”

“Some of the legal people on the other side,” Trump later added, “they’re the most cold-hearted people. They don’t care about families. They don’t care about anything.”

“I’ve studied it, I’ve studied cases, and Constitutions should be made – you know, they have some good lawyers. But even the judges – you get some of the judges that are so nasty, and so angry and mean.”

He then urged listeners to donate to individual defendants’ legal funds.

The Washington Post reports that Trump had previously indicated he may pardon January 6 defendants in a hypothetical future administration, but revealed for the first time that he would offer a formal government apology to “many” of the defendants and that he is paying the legal fees for some of the defendants.

As he ended the interview, Trump promised and warned voters that “We’re going to win, we’re going to win, but we’re dealing with really sick people.”

“The damage they’ve done,” Trump lamented.

  • By the time Trump takes office (hopefully), any J6ers still in jail should all be pardoned – from the ones “parading” to the ones who damaged property or scuffled with cops. No one deserves multi year sentences for what they did on Jan 6. Heck, two protesters were killed by cops and nothing happened to them. The charges being applied to the protesters and the sentences being sought are way over the top.

  • Trump wants to pardon traitors that tried to overthrow our government so they will vote for him, he could care less about these people they are just puppets to be used by him.

    • Stay Quiet, and only* your parents will know you blossomed into the Vegetable. you are now. I’d call you a Moron, but Pedophile “Joey” insisted that be his Title. Sorry.

  • We may like his policies, but Trump is a con man. All he wants is your money and to boost his brand and popularity and he will say and do anything to get that.
