Chris Wallace Picks Debate Topics

Joe Biden doesn’t have a lot going for him as he prepares for the first Presidential debate. That is, except for the moderator chosen to select and ask the questions for the debate. That being said, I think we can all see where this is going.

They have chosen Chris Wallace, a partisan hack who hides behind his many years of broadcasting as though tenure means one is a fair and a real journalist.

Fifteen times Chris Wallace has gone after President Trump and the White House and yet has been asked to be fair and balanced when looking to get clarification on issues from the candidates.

A few examples:

Wallace said there was a “huge problem with the credibility of the White House.”

Wallace reasoned that Mueller’s testimony did not give Trump a “clean legal bill of health.”

Well the same Fox News reporter Chris Wallace who will moderator for the first presidential debate of the general election next Tuesday, has chosen the topics that President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden will face.

In a press statement, the Commission on Presidential Debates announced Tuesday:

The first presidential debate will be held on Tuesday, September 29 at Case Western Reserve University and Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH. The format for the first debate calls for six 15-minute time segments dedicated to topics announced in advance in order to encourage deep discussion of the leading issues facing the country.

Chris Wallace, moderator of the first 2020 presidential debate, has selected the topics for that debate.

Subject to possible changes because of news developments, the topics for the September 29 debate are as follows, not necessarily to be brought up in this order:

The Trump and Biden Records

The Supreme Court

Covid-19

The Economy

Race and Violence in our Cities

The Integrity of the Election

All debates start at 9:00 p.m. ET and run for 90 minutes without commercial interruption.

The list excludes foreign policy, abortion, climate change, immigration, health care, education, and other issues voters consider important, though it is possible they could be included under other rubrics or brought up by the candidates.

I will be watching to see how Wallace asks the questions, challenges the candidates, and see if he tries to prevent Hunter’s bogus business deals with Ukraine from getting into the conversation.

I’m sure most conservatives will not like the way this debate will be facilitated but I know they will ecstatic at the beating Biden will take on the issues, as he struggles to remember it is Tuesday, during the 90-minute debate.
