House Republicans will be holding closed-door depositions this week as part of their ongoing impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden. Former Biden family associates, Eric Schwerin and Joey Langston, who were previously subpoenaed, are expected to provide testimony.
The goal is to gather information that supports the allegations that Joe Biden and his family took advantage of their name for financial gain in exchange for access and political favors.
This follows similar transcribed interviews with two of Hunter Biden’s former business associates, Rob Walker and Mervyn Yan. Furthermore, a negotiated interview with Hunter himself is scheduled for late February.
The depositions were jointly announced by House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY), House Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan (R-OH), and House Ways and Means Committee Chair Jason Smith (R-MO).
“Hunter Biden will appear before our committees for a deposition on February 28, 2024. His deposition will come after several interviews with Biden family members and associates. We look forward to Hunter Biden’s testimony,” Comer and Jordan said.
However, before hearing from Hunter Biden, the committees will depose at least five former associates.
Last week, Yan and Walker were deposed, and this week it was Eric Schwerin and Joey Langston’s turn. Tony Bobulinski is scheduled to be deposed in the first week of February.
Fox News reported that Eric Schwerin, who previously worked with Hunter Biden at Rosemont Seneca investment firm, was the first witness to be deposed this week.
He served as a financial adviser and accountant for the Biden family during Joe Biden’s tenure as Vice President.
Emails between Schwerin and Joe Biden have been revealed, showing frequent communication using various aliases by Joe Biden.
Schwerin has been described as “the architect of the Biden family’s shell companies” and personally handled Joe Biden’s finances and tax returns.
There were numerous communications between them surrounding Joe Biden’s visits to Ukraine when Hunter held a position on the board of Burisma.
Despite this, Schwerin has claimed ignorance of any criminal or improper behavior by the Biden family. After Schwerin, Joey Langston will testify.
Langston was a former campaign donor and fundraiser for Biden but was convicted in 2008 for attempting to bribe a federal judge. He served three years in prison and was disbarred as a lawyer.
However, bank records show him appearing as an attorney and financial benefactor to James and Sarah Biden, Hunter’s brother-in-law and sister-in-law.
The testimony from these former associates is expected to advance the impeachment inquiry against President Biden and provide valuable information for questioning Hunter Biden in February.
The president’s son’s scheduled hearing was arranged through negotiations with his attorney in order to prevent a contempt of Congress charge.
This came after Hunter failed to appear for a subpoenaed appearance in December and further aggravated committee members by attending a contempt hearing but refusing to answer questions.
If any witnesses who are set to be interviewed reveal significant and incriminating information about the Biden family, it could potentially result in articles of impeachment against the president and criminal referrals for his family members.

You may be happy to know that Hunter used Air Force TWO the V.P. Plane like an Uber Taxi. With or without Joe and sometimes even taking off minus his Secret Service Protectors.
