When President Trump left office, we were energy independent. We were no longer depending on foreign countries for our oil supply because we had a good thing going for ourselves.

Now the tides have turned completely thanks to Jim Crow Joe.

On Wednesday President Biden asked OPEC nations such as Saudi Arabia and other oil and gas-producing nations such as Russia to increase their oil production to offset the rising prices of gasoline in the US. Six months ago, Biden ended US energy independence by shutting down the Keystone XL pipeline and in June ended oil production leases in ANWR in Alaska.

Governor Greg Abbott wrote an open letter to President Biden making the case that our energy independence is directly tied to low energy prices. He delivered this message via Twitter:

“Dear White House: Texas can do this. Our producers can easily produce that oil if your Administration will just stay out of the way. Allow American workers—not OPEC—produce the oil that can reduce the price of gasoline. Don’t make us dependent on foreign sources of energy.”

Why would an American “president” end US energy independence? Not only is it key in keeping prices low, but closing down domestic oil production eliminates tens of thousands of jobs. It is also a matter of national security: why would an American president shed jobs to raise energy prices thereby enriching countries that are at best uneasy allies, if not outright enemies?

In my opinion, this is just further proof that Joe Biden is a puppet. He’s a puppet for many people it seems and they’re all just passing him around so they each get a turn to play. Now, the Middle East and OPEC have control of the strings and they’re making him dance for oil. He only has himself to blame.
