Vladimir Putin has made several claims as far as reasoning goes when it comes to his invasion of Ukraine. One of the big allegations that he stated was that Ukraine’s government is actually corrupt and filled with neo-Nazis and that he isn’t going to allow that to stand.

So in a sense, Putin feels like he is actually rescuing Ukraine.

Well, believe it or not, I recently encountered someone who is against Ukraine and President Zelenskyy.

Initially, I made my position clear that I really didn’t know what was going on and why all of a sudden Russia felt that it was necessary to wage war on Ukraine. I still hold to the position that the way that he is going about doing things is appalling and that Putin has committed war crimes.

But the purpose of this article today is to share with you something that I came across as to why this certain person that I encountered is not a fan of Zelenskyy and why Putin is right about what he said about their government.

Look at the following two images:

The first thing that you’ll likely notice is that this is Fox News. But what you are not likely going to notice is the source of the that is mentioned at the top and bottom righthand corner.

The source says, AZOV Battalion and the website is

According to my source and other sources I’ve come across since his mentioning of this, the AZOV Battalion is a group of neo-Nazis. Apparently, these neo-Nazis are actually inside President Zelenskyy’s own government.

In a recent CBS article, ‘The Azov Battalion: How Putin built a false premise for a war against “Nazis” in Ukraine March 22, 2022’ admits, “There is [the Azov] regiment… There are [estimated] several thousand people who are in this regiment. It is indeed a group where many members adhere to nationalist and far-right views,” Leviev said. “But a lot of people also join it because it is one of the most prepared and fit-for-war units.”

“The Azov Battalion rose to prominence in 2014, at the start of the separatist insurgency in eastern Ukraine. The country’s armed forces, which at the time were woefully unprepared for battle, were taken by surprise when Russian-backed separatists started seizing swaths of territory in the Donbas area, along Russia’s border.”

So he points out that there is out date, 2014. The article continues,

“The militia was founded by Andriy Biletsky, an ultra-nationalist political figure who previously led groups including the openly neo-Nazi Social-National Assembly (SNA), which preached an ideology of racial purity for Ukraine.”

“In late 2014, Azov was expanded from a battalion into a regiment, and was officially embedded into the Ukrainian National Guard — an official law enforcement agency, but not part of Ukraine’s national armed forces.”

“Biletsky won a seat in the Ukrainian parliament as an independent candidate in September 2014. That gave Moscow more ammunition to tar Ukraine’s central government as sympathetic to Nazis. Biletsky was not re-elected when his term ended five years later.”

So, from 2014, add 5 years and you arrive at 2019.

Then here is the point that he wishes to make. Keep in mind, this is what he said, and is his opinion, not mine. I just want you to understand the other perspective:

Do the math here: Biletsky “an ultra-nationalist” who led “openly neo-Nazi Social-National Assembly” (admitted), was “elected” (“won a seat”), but, we are to conclude that the “central government” of Ukraine is in no way “sympathetic”. Imagine, if in our country, a “seat” or two was won by “openly confessed” neo-Nazis….I can tell you this: that bird wouldn’t fly. Yet, it FLEW in Ukraine….for 5 years. Still does.

The article goes on to site a report from the UN that listed the “grievances” of the Azov Regiment in Donbas that, “extensive use of civilian buildings and locations… and looting of civilian property, leading to displacement” by Azov Battalion forces.”

So did you catch all of that? The AZOV used human civilians for shields. They are not beneath such tactics to further their agenda and to make it appear as Russian attacks on civilians…and the UN admits it.

For the UN Report, see, ‘Report on the human rights situation in Ukraine 16 November 2015 to 15 February 2016.’ In this OFFICIAL REPORT, (215 pages), the evidence is damning. Also, it lets us know that NATO, EU, and UN knew about this all the way back in 2016.

Take this as what you will, but here is the perspective from the other side.
