Much is made of the belief that politicians never tell the truth. It’s almost as if the American people have resigned to this being an unchangeable fact. It’s not. The people hold the vote. The constitutional duty we have to elect our representation allows us to hold them accountable.

Americans can force their elected officials to be accountable for bad policies. As well, they can hold their feet to the fire for lying. Nevertheless, when it comes time to vote, many Americans seem to forget they have this power.

In an age where a new political lie is revealed seemingly every day, the need to boot liars out of office is growing increasingly more critical. Our democracy is at stake. Most Americans appreciate that the liberal left is the most notorious distorter of the truth.

Radical, progressive Democrats have perfected the art of lying. They’ve managed to lie about their intentions and especially the substance of their policies. These lies have allowed radical progressives to temporarily take control of all three branches of our federal government.

It’s been a total fiasco. Americans have been witness to one of the most single destructive years in the history of U.S. politics. In the upcoming midterms, virtually every political expert envisions voters using extreme measures to correct this.

But there are other problems in Washington, D.C., problems that go deeper than just the failed agenda of progressive Democrats. There are weak-kneed Republicans resting on their laurels as so-called “conservatives”. They are not. They are self-serving bullsh***ers!

One such Republican is Congressman Kevin McCarthy. McCarthy is adept at talking a good game. He has perfected the art of “political B.S.” McCarthy has mastered the craft of lying so well that he is the highest ranking Republican in the U.S. House of Representatives.

But does he deserve this lofty status? Should Kevin McCarthy automatically be handed the responsibility of being the next Speaker of the House when Republicans take back control in November? Does he deserve Republican voters’ confidence that he supports their beliefs?

A recent release of a secret recording may prove that he should not be, and should never have been. Kevin McCarthy is all about Kevin McCarthy, and should never be considered for a position of authority in the Republican Party.

The vast majority of conservative Republicans support former President Trump. His support ahead of a potential presidential run in 2024 is solid. Most Republican voters also appreciate that both impeachment attempts against him were bogus witch hunts.

They were feeble attacks used to target the former president. They held no substance. The single objective was to try to prevent him from running for office. The attempts failed. During this process, Kevin McCarthy acted as if he stood firmly behind President Trump.

McCarthy even denounced rumors that he planned to encourage President Trump to resign. A startling revelation proves that this may have all been an act. Kevin McCarthy was lying. Apparently, he had a conversation with Republican turncoat Liz Cheney.

In the audiotape, McCarthy is heard telling Cheney that he would counsel President Trump to resign. The two Republican representatives were obviously discussing what the former president should do, in light of the heavy liberal desire to try to impeach him.

The minority leader said he was going to appeal to President Trump’s sense of reason. Furthermore, in the audio, McCarthy clearly said he believed the impeachment resolutions would pass. They never did because they were bogus.

McCarthy said to Cheney on the call, “I think [impeachment resolutions] will pass, and it would be my recommendation you (President Trump) should resign. Um, I mean that would be my take, but I don’t think he would take it. But I don’t know… What he did is unacceptable. Nobody can defend that and nobody should defend it.”

He had to know that. Why did McCarthy try to get the president to act unnecessarily? Why did Kevin McCarthy flat out lie about his thoughts about having such a conversation with President Trump?

Of course, there’s the clear possibility that Liz Cheney is responsible for leaking this audio. It’s indicative of her deceptive and deceitful antics. Regardless of who is responsible, conservative Republicans looking for honest representation should applaud these new developments.

This coming November, conservative American values will have a tremendous opportunity. Knowing who supports these values is important. It will allow voters to remove politicians who either don’t support these values or lie to the American people about what they do believe in.

Kevin McCarthy has the right to his own opinions and beliefs. Every American has that right. But Americans, especially strong conservatives, want government representation that tells them the truth.

This isn’t as much a case of a difference in policy as it is a question of integrity. McCarthy said one thing, but his words say the complete opposite. If voters from the 23rd District in California still feel he is worthy of being their U.S. Representative, then so be it.

However, his inability to tell the truth, and even double down on his lies, makes Kevin McCarthy unworthy of leading House conservatives. Republicans need to grow a backbone between now and next January.

McCarthy cannot be considered a party leader by assuming the critical role of Speaker of the House. He may well retain his seat. However, conservatives must elect new leadership that believes, most of all, in telling the truth. Apparently, Kevin McCarthy does not.
