This week, unemployment benefits ran out for millions of Americans.

It had run out months ago for some places who actually care about putting people back to work and not enabling deadbeats to sit at home and mooch off the government.

I happen to live in one of those states that cut the extra unemployment benefits from the federal government a while back and we’re still not back to where we were with employment, but more and more people here are getting back to work. In fact, our unemployment numbers are at pretty good levels.

We have the same numbers now that we had in April of 2019. That’s not any thanks to Biden, that’s in spite of Biden trying to keep people at home and our governor saying no way, get to work.

“Get a Job” was trending on Twitter Tuesday morning. It’s sometimes interesting to see what these trends are all about, but this one stands out pretty well.

As I’m sure you know, these people were likely making more by staying at home than they were by going out and getting themselves a job. This is something that our government is really bad about doing.

I can personally testify to this because years ago my sister was one of these people who got so much assistance from the government that she would have been worse off by going out and getting a job.

It’s a shame that it’s always the working class that suffers. We work hard and we’re forced to give away 30% of our income to help people who don’t work, but could work.

Sure, there are some people that it helps who literally can’t work, but I think there are better ways of taking care of these people besides stealing from hard-working Americans. That’s not me saying that I don’t think some people shouldn’t get some sort of help, because I do.

I think my mom rightly should get help. I think my dad did this to himself and he should have got himself a job many years ago.

But ABC tweeted that “Jobless Americans have few options as benefits expire” and Ted Cruz made the simplest and most precise tweet ever, “Um, get a job? There are millions of vacancies, and small businesses across the Nation are desperate for workers.”

He’s 100% right and I’ll guarantee that nearly everyone knows this. It is more than apparent that almost everywhere is hiring workers. We don’t go from having record low unemployment levels to where we are now and not have a plethora of available jobs.
