There’s a small group of Republicans who have already announced their candidacy for the party’s 2024 presidential nomination. Of the current field, only one man has any realistic chance of winning the primary. That man is former President Donald Trump. The former president’s appeal with the Republican base is solid.

Against the current list of contenders, no one envisions that stranglehold changing. However, if another man, someone who’s yet to announce his intentions, decides to enter the race, things will change. Most project Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to eventually announce his candidacy. However, current polls still have former President Trump holding a sizeable lead.

Many experts predict that the margin will tighten almost the instant the Florida governor makes a definitive announcement to run. Nevertheless, even though the name Ron DeSantis hasn’t even been thrown into the ring, the battle has begun. Many believe the real fight will start on the day the Florida governor officially becomes the biggest threat to former President Trump.

The two high-profile Republicans each seem to be digging in for a monumental battle. The former president has already slung arrows at the successful Florida governor. A super PAC promoting a run by Governor DeSantis is firing back. In a recent ad, the group asks why the former president is so focused on his potential opponent and not the true enemy.

During the televised advertisement, the narrator asks, “Why is he (former President Trump) spending millions attacking the Republican governor of Florida?” “Trump’s stealing pages from the Biden-Pelosi playbook, repeating lies about social security.” The ad cuts to the Florida governor speaking directly about social security and entitlements.

The super PAC ad ends with the narrator saying, “Trump should fight Democrats, not lie about Governor Ron DeSantis.” The ad ends with a direct question: “What happened to Donald Trump?” Many feel the purpose is to push back against a PAC MAGA Inc. release that referenced Governor DeSantis eating pudding with three fingers. Kind of silly, but this may be only a glimpse into an upcoming dogfight!

With no disrespect to the list of current Republican candidates, the best advice might be to gracefully bow out before the first primary ballot is cast. Their chances are minimal at best. The odds of any candidate other than former President Trump or Governor DeSantis earning the 2024 presidential nomination are essentially zero. It’s just a reality.

This will be a brutal head-to-head battle for the 2024 presidential nomination. However, the ultimate winner will face off for the soul of our nation. Whichever candidate emerges – former President Donald Trump or Florida Governor Ron DeSantis – Americans must put ideological differences aside. The fate of American democracy will be determined by that decision.

  • DeSantis should be tauting (praising, boasting, or bragging about) himself, not denigrating Trump. If DeSantis finds himself in a political hole in the polls, criticizing Trump will only serve to dig his hole deeper. If I were a potential DeSantis voter, I would want to know what: #1 he would have done differently than Trump, and #2 how it would have benefitted every American, and #3 what he would accomplish as POTUS that nobody else can, even Trump. Personally, I prefer substance over style. Right now I like Trump’s 4 years of proven substance and I’m not very appreciative of DeSantis’ style (who should stop digging his political hole deeper in the polls if he wants to have any chance).

  • Both Trump and De Santis should knock off thr sparing match, they should support each other and run on their record of accomplishments and vision, the war is to end the treacherous Biden administration and take down this corrupt Democratic Party. Thet have torn this country from it’s foundation.

  • I DON’T CARE what the biblically abhorrent “Baal priests & priestesses” do to each other! In fact, praise God they’re devouring one another:

“But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.” (Galatians 5:15)

The sooner they devour one another the better and the sooner, Lord willing, we’ll be able to erect a biblical government upon the inevitable ruins of the Constitutional Republic:

“The United States Constitutional Republic was destined to fall from its inception. This is borne out in the following two passages:

‘And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.’ (Matthew 7:26-27)

‘[E]very kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand.; (Matthew 12:25)

“The house known as the Constitutional Republic was not built upon the rock of Yahweh’s1 word, but instead upon Enlightenment and Masonic concepts.2 It began and continues as a divided house….

“The day is therefore approaching when the Republic’s cup of iniquity will be full3 and Yahweh’s longsuffering is exhausted. At that time, the Republic will be subjected to His judgment. Like all nations before her built on sand, she will cease to exist. The question that remains is whether that generation’s Christians will be prepared to build upon her ruins. If not, another ungodly nation will fill the void until finally a future generation of our posterity are prepared to erect a government and society upon Yahweh’s righteousness as expressed in His triune moral law (His commandments, statutes, and judgments).4

“It is therefore incumbent upon this and all intervening generations of Christians to do everything in their power to help prepare for that future generation of Christians to do it right(eous) the next time….”

  • Sounds like a Paul Ryan commercial. If DeSantis’s ego costs this nation it’s freedom and independence, he won’t be elected Everglades snake catcher. To me , anyone who opposes restoring integrity to the stolen election process is no better than a sell out traitor to America.

  • Donald Trump and Gov DeSantis should STOP attacking each other. they are both
republicans and need to work together. Fight the democrats not each other!!!!
