Here we are months later after the death of Gabby Petito and the manhunt that lasted for weeks and there are still questions that we really don’t know the answers to.
What really happened with Gabby? What led to Brian Laundrie killing her? Did Brian’s parents know about the murder? Did they help their son run from the police? Maybe we’ll learn some of these details later down the road, but for now, we’re just left wondering.
Another thing that we’ve been wondering about is the death of Brian himself. Were the remains that they found really his? Is he still alive somewhere and somehow staged his own death to throw off the authorities?
Well, based on some recent information we now know a little bit more about the remains that were found and his death.
According to a recent report, the remains were truly Brian Laundrie’s and we now know the cause of death.
Brian Laundrie died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
That’s right…he committed suicide.
Attorney Steve Bertolino said in a statement that Laundrie’s parents have been informed that the cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head, and the manner of death was suicide.
“Chris and Roberta are still mourning the loss of their son and are hopeful that these findings bring closure to both families,” Bertolino said.
That fact alone I think gives us sufficient reason to believe that Laundrie really did kill Petito. Why else would he be on the run and even kill himself if he wasn’t the one who did it?
He may have escaped justice while on Earth, but he can’t escape the ultimate justice that come from the Creator of heaven and earth. He will receive what is due to him for all of eternity.
