A new documentary titled “Musk” includes claims from Ashley St. Clair, 28, that Elon Musk reduced her monthly child support payments by a total of $80,000 after she publicly disclosed that she had secretly given birth to his 13th child.
According to the film, Musk, 55, had initially offered St. Clair $15 million along with $100,000 a month in child support in exchange for her signing a nondisclosure agreement about their relationship. St. Clair has previously said she declined the deal because she could not, in her words, sign it “in good conscience,” and did not want her newborn son, Romulus St. Clair, now 2, to “feel like he’s a secret.”
The documentary claims that after St. Clair refused the NDA, Musk cut her monthly payments to $40,000. After she publicly revealed their son in February 2025, the payments were reduced again to $20,000, according to reporting from Entertainment Weekly on the film’s claims.
St. Clair, a former conservative commentator, says in the documentary that Musk was “kind” to her until after Romulus was born. “It was almost as if he didn’t show a certain side of himself until after I had our baby,” she says in the film. She has previously said in a TikTok video that the relationship grew strained once she became pregnant.
How the relationship began
St. Clair says in the documentary that her relationship with Musk started in 2023 after he began interacting with her posts on X. “He was responding to my posts frequently. One day, he responded to one of my Mother’s Day posts [and said] that I should have more children,” she says, adding that Musk described himself as a “good dad” with what appeared to be amicable relationships with the mothers of his other children.
“We should have a kid. You should have so many more kids. You should have 10 kids,” St. Clair recalls Musk telling her. “Eventually, I was like, ‘Well, what does that look like?’”
Musk most recently welcomed his 14th child, Seldon Lycurgus, with Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis, who has said he ended their relationship with no warning.
Claims about other children
St. Clair alleges in the documentary that Musk may have fathered more children than are publicly known. She says she was contacted by other women whom Musk had been messaging directly on X and, in her telling, offering to have children with. “There was a woman in Japan who just wanted, basically, sperm donation that he obliged,” she says. “It’s like a Gatling gun of sperm in his DMs.”
Ongoing custody dispute
St. Clair is currently engaged in a custody battle with Musk over Romulus. Her legal team has alleged that the dispute prompted Musk to substantially reduce his financial support, a reduction she says has left her facing eviction.
Musk has previously said he paid St. Clair $2.5 million and stated he was
